I tried doing my normal Grawl solo farming (in hard mode) and the drops are fewer but I get more gold items so I think it's decent.

Well I think even people who don't mind the nerf would still prefer to make lots of money. Generally a nerf isn't popular because it makes something people liked to use/do less effective, so a poll asking "do you like this nerf" doesn't seem balanced. But that doesn't mean the nerf wasn't needed. I dunno...

Clear 203 creatures in sulfurous wastes in hard mode with heros/hench, one gold and pretty much the rest is junk. total from this was probably about 2.5k if i am lucky. I dont think its going down well this loot thingy. I liked to go out and just see what dropped, now it will take forever to get anything.

I'd like to see the rates raised. there must be better and easier ways to stop farming via bots.

Is this a poll asking about how we feel the drop system is for a full party? If so then in normal mode green, gold, and purple, items; white and black dye; rubies and sapphires; and keys all need a decent boost to their drop rates. I have logged over 2500 but less than 3000 hours of play time since may 2005. In that time from drops I have gotten 3 rubies (2 prior to NF 1 from keyless), 8 black dye, about 100 gold items (all after the bug fix that prevented people from getting any at all of which i was one of them and got numerous replies from anet telling me everything was working fine over the whole year the bug was happening), no white dye (over 500 hours since introduced), no sapphires, and about 50 keys (about 1000 hours of play time since they were introduced).

In hard mode drop rates on gold and purple items appear to be fine since loot is supposed to be much better. I'm not sure on skill tomes yet. I got 5 of them in 15 hours and they were significantly lower rate than gold and purple items were dropping. And I'm not sure what to think about the people asking more than 1k for them or anybody that might have bough them when it cost 1k to get a skill from the trainers and in the case of elite skills 1k and maybe 30 minutes of play time for the cap. I got no lockpicks in drops. Chests in hard mode or any chest where the key is 750g or more should be guaranteed gold item. Maybe a small chance the 750g ones aren't gold but for sure the ones over 1k should be guaranteed gold.

It is too soon to tell.

Hard Mode has only been out for a few days. Everyone was in it this weekend, especially with double sunspear / lightbringer. The drop rate had to be all fudged up because so many people were playing. Give it some time to level out before you make a judgement.

That said, if it is working as intended, I don't like it. The drops I was getting in Hard Mode were more like Normal Mode. In Old Ascalon, I was getting so much junk worth 5 gold, I stopped picking just about everything up. After a few hours in Torment, I only saw three golds drop. Could have just been bad luck, could have been the surge in players playing right now... I am going to give it some time.

My observations from the weekend doing the Sulfurous Wastes run in Hard Mode:

In a party of 3 ppl utilizing heroes, we saw a good amount of superior runes and gold and purple weapons dropping often. Actually more often than normal mode. However, not a single green dropped.

The chests were mostly golds and about 80% were not worth the money spent on the lockpick.

I agree with JasonLA, that with those high price keys the chest should guaranteed a gold.
