That's actually exactly what I played lol Kind of trippy to play it on a plane, flying to/from the place it's set. But I'm kind of numb to the setting thing since everything ever is set in NYC.
for one, skyrim isn't the one updating it self, it's steam.
also, i was in the middle of a quest, just imagine getting trough a quest while almost dying and before the game can save the progress, steam decides it's a good idea to close the game and update it.
bye bye progress, bye bye patience with it.
I thought Steam slipped a stonking great patch notes box under your active game that you needed to click through before it updated. Or, if you're not talking about the client updating itself but rather Steam updating the game, the option's there to disable automatic updates, not even taking into account that I've never known Steam to update a game I've had running until I've stopped playing.

well, it could be because it's steam, i never had any reason to like it nor is there any logical reason to like it.
games are cheap but i rather pay a small bit more for a game then having to put up to this annoyance, when something happens or something needs an update i rather download them manually so i have full control.
but enough about steam, this thread is about fun, not junk.
Steam does have a habit of updating games that you've elected to not update automatically, but I've never, ever had it interrupt my gameplay to update during a session.
