I'm fairly positive that sacrifice was the loss of her identity and humanity. Recall she responds to her name with "Yes. No. Kormir. And much more." What she once was has probably been pushed to the sidelines to make way for the 'Goddess of Truth.'

Yeah, I am of the impression that the gods are still around (they talk to us at the end of Gate of Madness) but they cannot do anything to directly influence our actions. They do have the power to bless us, relieve us of weariness and so on through their avatars, as a visit to any shrine will show when the world has favor. So they do have some indirect influence still, but I have yet to have an avatar tell me what to do with my ill gotten blessings.

It is, of course, very generous of the gods to assume we are doing 'their work'.

As an aside, I have always wanted to know what the avatars do with the money we give them. I can kind of believe in areas where a shrine is tended that the money goes to local charity or something...but the ones in the middle of nowhere in Tyria? Hmm.

I wondered that myself. Why are we forced to pay when we're doing the work? It's extortion I tell you! Extortion!

We pay for the chance to offer our help, and they don't even bother giving us a nice buff in Nightfall. Maybe the Exodus wasn't such a bad thing, after all.

Even more extreme is that the 6 were never really gods at all but only superior beings (just as the Musaat were to the White Mantle, or the Titans were to the Charr) to most of the creatures on Tyria at the time of their arrival. And, that they didn't actually create themselves, Tyria or the Mists, but something else did???

Ok I can honestly say i've searched the lore forum extensively. My question is: Is there any specific place to sign up for TAoS? Is it still around? And is there an in-game member or leader I can contact? Also My Final Question is, is TAoS an actual guild like "Tyrian Academy of Science [TAoS]" that I can join?
