2007 Mesmer Highland Games

The time has come to make it official! ^^

I've been talking about this little by little in mesmer and friends circles, and I figure, a month away, I should probably get to officially announcing it. ;D Although, please forgive me if I forget any details - I swear I only got 3 hours of sleep before writing this, this morning. *Cough.*

I would like to propose that this year, as opposed to last year, the Highland Games take place in the Zaishen Challenge, International District 1. I would like the event to take place on Saturday, July 7th at 9pm GMT, which is 2pm Pacific, 5pm Eastern, which, I believe is 7am on Sunday in Brisbane, Australia. :x Last time I had a map that screwed me up, hopefully my latest calculator is better. If anybody can correct me on the time zones, please do.

So I was thinking of holding the same events as last year -

Highland King and Queen
Mesmer Arts Competition
Mesmer Sync Dancing
Best Dressed Mesmer

I have a couple other ideas rolling around in my head, and I might get around to mentioning them later. If you have any ideas for any new games, please e-mail me via my profile. :3 I am more than welcome to hear any ideas, even if they're half-baked. XD

Note, there is no entrance fee. :D That idea failed last year.

The only thing I'll mention is that the Highland King and Queen now comes with an asterisk. ^^; Those who won the last King and Queen positions will not be allowed to enter this contest. Sorry! I think it would be good to give others a chance at the title.

So, what can you expect from the Highland Games as an attendant? :3 Well, you can participate in any of the events, but should you not feel inclined to participate, there'll be plenty of drinking (if donations permit), dancing, and general merrymaking!

Also! Important note! \o/ Because this is more Scottish themed, I'd like to encourage attendants to give the Scots a salute by wearing blue and white! Maybe you have an all blue or an all white outfit, or you want to mix 'em - whatever works!

Also, it's important to note that I am relying on the public to support the event! I'm giving what I can to the event, myself, but I can't do this all on my own here. ;D Already I've received a ton of awesome donations well before the event - there's still about a month until the event itself, so please, if you can donate, please do!! Now, I'm not expecting anybody to over do it, or anything like that - just little things here and there. :D Small contributions go a long way.

There's a few guilds I'd like to thank in advance that have been supporting me and my event. \o/ Namely, I'd like to thank my guild The Getaway Special [rent] for their awesome love and encouragement. I'd also like to thank Celtic Wild Hunt [Celt] for their kind friendship and their dedication to these events, as they've been supporting me every step of the way, since the event's very conception! And last but certainly not least are my good and excellent friends Where Iz Teh Bonuz [WitB] who have been tremendous in donations, in friendship, and in their unwavering support.

How to get there

The Zaishen Challenge is located on The Battle Isles.

To be able to map travel to the Zaishen Challenge you must first "unlock" it. This is done by beating all 4 computer AI teams in the Training Arena (found on the Isle of the Nameless). After beating the fourth team you will be transported back to The Battle Isles. You will then be able to map travel to the Zaishen Challenge, where you will be able to select a battle arena from the ""Select Mission"" button on your Party Menu.

Unlocking is per account. This means that once one character has unlocked it, all the characters on the same account will have the area unlocked.
