    She HAS told us. Read earlier in this thread where she posted about how (~1 year ago) she played a R/Mo heala who accidentally hits her team mates with poison arrow. Then try and defend her PvP skills.

    Seriously this isn't a personal attack on Gaile. She's a lovely patient lass who does the best she can. But she couldn't PvP her way out of a paper bag.

    We added a cap of +25 to the armor buff when stacking skills. A single skill can still bring the bonus over +25, but multiple skills with smaller bonuses will not do so. Armor bonuses from shields, weapons, insignias and inscriptions are not affected and still stack.
    While this will reduce the number of "so much defense you can't kill us" in RA, AB, and most notable, Hero Battles, it will just bring back the W/E Earth Tanks...

    Which will make us water eles laugh.

    If I bothered to play anymore. The BS that was hard mode (try that in a table top RPG and see if your players come back) was the last thing I needed for, "I see, you're forcing me to play PvP or quit. That's an easy choice."

    I've logged in once in the last month, and that was just to lend a focus item to a friend.

    --> Mesmer

    Eather Feast and the affecting chants is good. The rest is still crap.

    --> Elementalist

    Ash Blast- still not going to get used. It's not the damage, it's the conditional blind. If we want to blind, well either use eruption or go air for a guarantee.

    Ride the Lightning- still has Exhaustion. Not going to put myself in harm's way AND take exhaustion.

    --> Necro

    Soul Reaping- BOUT DAMN TIME! Jebus.

    Wells? Mmm.. ok. I can see some use, but why?

    --> Warrior

    Ok... don't play mine enough to know nor care.

    --> Monk

    Yeah... cause those changes are gonna matter. Oh, that's the point? Then why make them?

    --> Ranger

    *yawn* So the return of cripshot rangers? Yippie. Why not being back Heal Party Ele's and IWAY too?

    --> Ritualst/Paragon

    Don't play either enough to know or care. No Rit, Paragon still level 11.

    Still not thrilled. Still not likely to be playing any more than my friends needing me for a mission. Which is not much since they finally figured out builds after we could trade them.

    I do believe that her build was:

    Charm Animal
    Comfort Animal
    Power Shot
    Called Shot
    Orison of Healing
    Rebirth
    Healing Breeze
    <Something>

    Mending wammo sounds about right.

    And to be fair, now, she didn't believe that pet DP would affect her PvE build.

    IWAY is back... The current form is 3 Steady Stance warriors with IWAY, 2 or 3 paras, 3 or 2 other people.

    In answer to your question, though, is that IWAY didn't make play more interesting, and it also didn't take skill to play. It added no depth to the game.

    Cripshots aren't back either, although eprod eles are still being used some. 10e cripshot doesn't change the fact that almost everyone on split has hexes or mtouch.

    In fact, why not bring back boonprots, eprod eles, and cripshots. Boonprots would be pretty weak in modern meta, but would see some niche use. Eprod eles are fine as they are, it's just that non-elite ele energy management is decent now. Cripshots can't be fixed without removing all the mtouch and other new self-condi-removal.

    If this update becomes permanent there is no use of DOA anymore. I think ANET should just take it out of the game. Whats the point?

    At one point, I might, you're quite right. And your point is well stated -- why not ask? However, I'm sure you can appreciate that at this point, reading this thread, no one with a lick of sense would expect that we'll be posting in it again. Allow me to engage in one of my "famous eye-rollings" and then adopt a resounding silence.

    To the moderators who are trying -- we thank you. But we're out. This isn't me, this is all of us who might look to threads like this for sensible commentary about the updates. Valuable insight may be here, but we're no longer going to give 210% to wade through the garbage to find it.

    You've tried, mods. We've tried, too. But it's hopeless until people realize they are not entitled to what is going on in this thread. The endless insults. The ceaseless off-topic "let's talk about the person, not the game." The ridiculous, childish comments without a single grain of fact.

    There is no license to abuse, here.
    There is no permission to insult, here.
    No one has an all-clear to libel, here, nor to state as fact your fantastical and ridiculous untruths.
    You may think so -- but you are wrong. Don't believe for a minute that any member of the dev team, or the dev team as a whole, needs to take what's being dished out here.

    We don't.

    We won't.

    The shame is, you've killed it for the rest. And keep in mind, those of you--so many of you--who want to have a decent discussion may well have contributed by your very passivity. For your failure to alert the mods to what was going on, to add your voice to the "We just want to talk about the game" list allowed this to get to its current unacceptable state. Don't for a minute blame us -- the excesses of this community are the responsibility of this community.

    Enjoy talking amongst yourselves.
