    Foreign Armor Crafter

This is an idea i have thought about for some time now. It is this and quite simple. Introduce a foreign armor crafter!

    What i mean is this:

Say you have a monk from Prophecies, right? Say you want to get him/her Kurzick armor, so you need to go to Factions and play the storyline to get the armor, correct?

Well with this idea will be for a foreign armor crafter in every campaign. So instead of taking your monk to Factions and playing the story up to House Zu Heltzer.

This way you can buy the kurzick armor in the campaign in which you are in, from the foreign armor crafter and vice versa for the other campaigns.(getting NF armor in Proph, etc)

I think this idea would be very benifical and save players lots of time and effort. It would be lots more coinveinent as well.

But it would ruin the story....dervish, rit, assasin and paragon arnt around in proph so why would there me armour crafters from them professions?

And the armour isnt around, nightfall and factions are in different times. (Timetravel)?

And thats the whole point you plonker (sry watching only fools and horses ^^)
You have to take a character though the desired campain to get the armour.

I agree it would safe alot of time, but what about the new classes? like dervish, these Foreign armour crafters would be useless since you they dont get new amour in earlier chapters.

It would be a nice feature for the core classes, but not for the new ones

And i dought anet would add this kind of bonus to the game

(keep the HUD enhancment thread) THEY HAVE TO DO THAT

Plus there is the problem that if you don't own Factions, you would still have access to some of the armor styles that make Factions unique...

Forgot about that, but i supose they would make the crafters be able to reconize which chapters you have

But still its a bad idea

I don't really like the idea...

You get the max armor very soon in the storyline in both Factions and Nightfall, and every foreign characters that own those campaigns have access to the cities where you get max armor as soon as they arrive on the new continent.

As you have access to max armors, all you want from this idea are styles. And in the Guild Wars world, if you want a specific style, you have to earn it. It would be like offering Obsidian armors styles outside FoW...

But what about kurzick and luxon armor? As i said in my post * i gave an example of monk kurzick armor*

Besides it is just an idea, not everyone agrees with everyones idea. Furthermore, if you don't like the idea you don't have to reply.

If you want max armor, you can have it at the first town. As far as gameplay goes, how you look is irrelevant. But if you do care about how you look and want a specific style, you have to spend the time to get to the place it is sold, wether its Luxon, Kurzick, Obsidian or Vabbian armors.

Also, what is the point of a forum if people cannot disagree with each other ? It is nothing personal, I just pointed out some flaws in your idea, giving reasons why I believe it would not work in the game. This is how a Suggestion forum works, some people like the idea, some others don't, and this is how a rich discussion grows. Usually, only when an idea is totally approved by the community it is starting to be considered by the devs.

Now your job, as the one that started the suggestion who wants his idea to be approved by the community, is to prove me wrong !

Factions/Nightfall happens around when the Ascalonians reach Kryta(as the game treats pre-Kryta missions as "re-enactments" when using a Nightfall/Factions character).

Kurzick and Luxon armor shows characters have joined one of the sides in their cause; offering it elsewhere than in the corresponding nation's cities would diminish the whole RP aspect of these sets.
