Thanks for the help. After this I realised what the problem was. When using windows vista, a lot of programs have to be run in admin mode. To do this right click on the program then click run as admin. Or you can set it to automatically do this by going into properties, compatibility tab, then where it says privilege level, check the box that says "Run as admin"

I bet you people are getting tired of me already, but next question: Does anybody know where I can find a 100% tyria map with the Eotn map update on it.

    Again, ty in advance

Ill use this specific mod as an example. I downloaded the cartography mod from the link u posted earlier. I open texmod, for the Target Application i have GW.EXE, i choose package mode, i click the folder to find a the mod i want. I open ur cartography mod that i saved on my desktop, then i hit run and guild wars opens up. I set the options to what u listed with hte textur on high, i turned post processing off, and i changed it to full screen. Then get on my character and hit M to bring the map up. Now u said that if the mod is running right the majority of the map should be green like in all these posts. But it is just my normal map, nothing has chaged.

is there a way to check to see if i have this DirectX 9, otherwise i dont know what else i am doing wrong.

    ty again

So, I went step by step doing this guide for comparison to try and do it myself. However, the result is a bit different and somewhat hard to read. You see, all those big chunks of the continent around explorables are green too, which makes looking for spots at the edges impossible. On your pictures, the area around is simple non-transparent gray. How do I accomplish that? I want to try it myself, before bothering you with this again.
I believe your problem is in how you turned your 100% map grayscale. What I do is a function called Desaturate, making the 100% map the non-transparent gray. You then take the "Solutions" map that you create and use addition to overlay this on the grayscale 100% map. Refer to the guide on how to create and overlay the individual sections to reach this point. If you need more help, feel free to post or PM.

It also took me a while to figure out what I was doing wrong when I first started. I assumed that it was a transparency issue, but the entire process in the end did not require me to touch that bar at all.

Thanks, but I did follow the step by step guide exactly and still the thing looks like this in the end:

So as you can see, its the green surrounding unmappable area thats troubling me. I am doing something wrong but where?

Anyway, maybe you can do another comparison for me, can you? My last needed percentage till Legendary Cartographer.
    Here is the map:

Thanks again, but if you see where I made a mistake I still want to find out. It isnt the Desaturate thingy.

I suspect there's something wrong with the sample map you're using. The green mod covers everything, but evident in your image you can still see detail in the map. (eg, compass, mountains..etc)

    Hello,
I am working on all 3 continents to achieve the title. Last night I found this thread and I downloaded the program that you have to run for the map, I extracted everything in GW folder and I ran the program. I set GW as target and I pressed the package mode. I tried to find cartographer.tpg but I can't find that file nowhere on my computer. Can someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong?
I do have Directx 9 and I run under windows 2000, could that be the problem?
Thank you for your time. :)
