Dear Anet can you please not have updates that require players to restart the client during Automated Tournaments. This update on 17th July caused everyone to forfeit the last two matches. If this had been a smaller update it would have caused only some players to have forfeited depending on the connection speed and the time left between games. This would give an unfair advantage/disadvantage to certain players because of poor timing by Anet. This is not the first time that an update has taken affect during an AT, would waiting 20 mins make that much of a difference?
If this is posted in the wrong place can a mod pm me where to post it rather than just deleting it.

Oftentimes you'll be unable to zone into new matches after a new build is posted. Thus, you'd be unable to enter into any further matches in the tournament until you've restarted (otherwise, you might have people playing with different versions of skill descriptions et cetera in the same game, a cause for much confusion).

You cant start a new pvp battle while the msg " new build plz restart your copy of guild wars" is at the bottom of the screen. Well at least this is the case other modes such as RA, TA and HA. Everytime a new build comes out you get kicked out of HA even if your in the hall. Now this is harsh but these things happen. But planning set times for ATs then updating the clients in this pre set time seems silly

I thought Gaile said they "carefully pick the best time to release updates."
Well, i'm sure they had their reasons.
And if they didn't and it was a mistake on their part, the topic you posted will somehow catch their attention, (atleast Gaile's I hope) and then can take it into account on the next big update. (eg maybe find something to make it work better on your part.)
Keep this bumped if possible? Atleast till the message gets passed trough?
Maybe they can just shut down ATS for 24 hours so people can up date..as they say learn2deal

If that was comeing up, why would you bother to AT anyway?
Although by that token, why would they have it running in the first place?
