I don't play a lot of motivational builds but I found this very helpful in certain areas where my damage+support paragon wasn't flashy enough. It's good to dabble in the healing arts and try to exploit the power our class can have.
14 Leadership
15 Motivation
9 Inspiration
Spear + 5 Energy
Shield + 30 or Inspirational Off-hand
--------------------------------------
Mantra of Inscriptions - For 30...78 seconds, your Signet skills recharge 25...45% faster. ( 40% )
Signet of Synergy - Signet. Target other ally is healed for 40...88 Health. If you are not under the effects of an Enchantment, you are also healed for 40...88 Health. ( 100 health )
Hex Eater Signet - Signet. Target touched ally and up to 2...4 adjacent allies each lose one Hex. You gain 1...3 Energy for each Hex removed this way. ( 4 allies / 3 energy each hex - possible 12 energy gain )
or
Signet of Aggression - Signet. If you are under the effects of a Shout or Chant, you gain 2 strikes of adrenaline.
There's Nothing to Fear - Shout. For 4 seconds and 1 second for every 2 ranks in Leadership, all Party Members within earshot take 15...31% less damage. Affected Party Members are healed for 20...52 Health when this Shout ends.
Ballad of Restoration - Chant. For 10 seconds, the next time each party member within earshot takes damage, that party member gains 15...63 Health. ( 75 health )
Song of Restoration - Elite Chant. For 10 seconds, the next time each party member within earshot uses a Skill, that party member gains 30...78 Health. ( 90 health )
Purifying Finale - Echo. For 10...30 seconds, target non-Spirit ally loses one Condition whenever a Chant or Shout ends on that ally. ( 33 seconds )
Go For The Eyes - Shout. For 1...8 seconds, other allies' Spells targeting you cast 50% faster.
-------------------------------
Throw up MoI which recharges your signets 40% faster.
Hex Eater - 25 recharge -> 15 recharge
Signet of Aggression - 5 rec - > 3 recharge
Signet of Synergy - 10 rec - > 6 recharge
Usage:
Use Purifying Finale on as many allies as possible to clean them of conditions throughout the battle. Go For the Eyes, There's Nothing to Fear, BoR, SoR are chants and shouts that will trigger the removal of conditions when they end. If you can chain these chants back to back you can have continuous condition removal on your allies.
The heart of the healing build will be MoI + Signet of Synergy giving yourself and another ally 100 health at no energy cost. These free heals will be used during the downtime of Ballad of Restoration / Song of Restoration. Use your restoration mainly as anti pressure chants.
DO NOT start spamming these at beginning of fights, your not a monk but at least you can think like one. Wasting healing skills when there is no need is a big no no to a Motivator. Instead use There's Nothing to Fear to reduce damage on your team. While getting into the thick of things depending on the areas you can remove hexes with H.E.S. or Signet of Aggression to charge GFTE faster. The reason behind getting GFTE up continously is to have it end thus clearing more conditions off your team. Another thing is you will only get the extra adrenaline from SoA if your under a chant or shout. The best time to use it is under There's Nothing to Fear.
--------
I wanted to come up with a different style of a healer setup for a paragon. Sure we may be better at Command but Motivation can lower the pressure off our actual healers.
With this build you can have:
Party Condition Removal
Full Party heals from SoR, BoR, & even There's Nothing to Fear. A total of a 217 party heal every 10 - 20 seconds. On top of that you are healing for a 100 health every 6 seconds for free with SoS.
If you go with Hex Eater Signet you can use this every 15 seconds and remove up to 4 hexes off adjacent allies for free with a net energy gain.
There's Nothing to Fear ( depending on your Sunspear Rank ) will reduce damage on your group up to 35% When this ends your group is healed 39 - 60 health. Using this shout every 10 seconds is another key to protecting your group.
-------
I hope old and new players shine a light towards Motivation time to time. Thanks for reading ~ Long Live Paragons![]()
i have been thinking about a build like that, using mantra of inscription so i will give this one a whirl. i am one of the rare breed that playes motivation most of the time, dunno why but while playing motivation i have no problems really.
Still waiting to get off work to actually tweak it and see if I can handle a full team with one monk.
Wooops, Go For the Eyes is described wrong - supposed to be:
Shout. For 10 seconds, the next time each ally within earshot makes an attack, that attack has an additional 30...66% chance to be a critical hit.

look at this for the motivation build that my para has used through most of elona, i think i have beaten up to gate of pain with her.
Motivation: 12+2+1
Leadership: 9+1
Spear Mastery: 9
Tactics: 3
The template is above, but for you lazies i will post the skills too.
Mending Refrain: For 20 seconds +4 regen and is reapplied when a chant/shout ends
Spear Of Lightning: +15 damage +25% armor penetration
Song of Restoration: For 10 second party members gain 90 health next time they use a skill
Aria of Zeal: For 10 seconds next spell used by allies gain 6 energy
Zealous Anthem: For 10 seconds next attack skill used by allies gain 8 energy
Ballad of Restoration: For 10 seconds next time each party member within earshot takes damage they gain 75 health
Watch Yourself: For 6 seconds party members gain +9 armor (can be replaced by GFtE! which for 10 next attack by allies has +39% to crit @ 3 command)
Signet of Return: Rez party member with 12% health and 3% energy for each party member in earshot
Usage, put mending refrain on yourself and maintain it with WY! or GFtE!/Song of Rest. Use skills as needed, pair Zealous anthem with Spear of Lightning. This build is designed to run in the background while everyone else does what they do with more efficiency. Not a healing build or a Spear chucker, but do keep attacking to keep up adrenaline and energy (via adrenal shout).
And with my weapons and shield i have 545 health and 45 energy with 96 armor and 4 health regen.
Nice build; thanks for posting. I'll add this to my PvE Hard Mode list.
