I've never seen Queen of the Damned, because everyone told me it was abysmal. Interview with the Vampire however was pretty good.

Now you see me - 7/10
Pretty entertaining movie with a good deception-based story that keeps you guessing. It's probably one of those where you can spot plot holes, but since I am not the best at that, I really enjoyed it. They keep it at a fast pace too.
Probably won't be a classic, but still a solid popcorn.

seen queen of the damned, the movie is a bit half half.
on one side it's quite good, the music is wonderful and the story does make sense.
on the other hand it's cheap, bad lines and boring characters.
i still give it a 7/10, nice to watch but only good for watching ones.
Eden Lake -- 7.64/10??
This movie...on the one hand, it's quite enthralling and seemingly builds up from almost nothing to a really brutal suspense flick. On the other hand...it's almost too disturbing. Without giving anything away, I can only say the acting is not very good--at least, not at first--the scenery is meh, the plot not really anything new...and yet, somehow it all comes together to the point that you're on the edge of your seat. You might be in shock at the end (I kinda was), or you might think the whole bit is junk.
Worth a watch, in my opinion.

Identity theft - urk/10
Disappointing especially if you expect anything like Horrible Bosses.
Basically, she's the standard totally-annoying, he's your standard doormat. There's some humiliation and mutual random hostility. Then halfway it becomes romantic-comedy junk without the romance but totally full of sappy friendship and a happy ending. And story-wise, this thing is fuller of plot-holes than gruyere.
A few good jokes especially if you like humiliation humour, otherwise a very skippable movie. Could be a good "spot the plot hole" game.

Identity Theft was almost worth walking out on during the first half, and then just tolerable in the second. Still not great, though, like you said.
I finally saw Oblivion last night at the cheapie. I can see why you'd criticize it, but it was decent for $2.75. I'd say it's better sci-fi for those completely unfamiliar with the genre's tropes. My wife, for example, actually enjoyed it. She didn't see how the plot devices had been used before. If nothing else, I found the scenery and setting to be interesting.
Elysium was a trailer before the movie, and it's the sci-fi movie I really want to see this year.

After Earth is getting some abysmal reviews. Has anyone seen it, and is it actually that bad?
It sounds like an almost hilarious disaster of a movie.

One reviewer's quote: "It makes Oblivion look like 2001 in comparison."
I think it's another case of a movie having a neat premise and exciting trailer, but no real substance. Poor M. Night. What happened to that guy? Or was he a one trick pony all along?

You'd think the pony would learn.

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
Two lovable West Virginian hillbillies, are headed to their "fixer-upper" vacation cabin to drink some beer, do some fishin', and have a good time. But when they run into a group of preppy college kids who assume from their looks that they must be in-bred, chainsaw wielding killers, Tucker & Dale's vacation takes a bloody & hilarious turn for the worse.
This was pretty funny, but some bad acting (especially between Dale & Allison) and the fact that you probably have already seen the most hilarious scenes in a trailer, does not get this film out of my average rating.
6/10 (+1 if you don't spoil yourself with the trailer)
