It isn't true to the original story, but Burton never said he wanted that. Johnny Depp was a bit annoying (like in Pirates III when he thought all the Jack Sparrow fooling around was more important than acting). I enjoyed it :)

But I heard a lot of negative press about Alice in Wonderland, which is apparently mostly Tim Burton on drugs during a heavy Johnny Depp fan dream. Still, despite the bad press, I'm curious if it really is that bad as some people make it out to be.
IMO, Alice in Wonderland sucked even without the 3-D.

I have no desire to see the new Alice in Wonderland; I didn't like the old cartoon one and I know I won't like this one; plus, with all the Tim burton fans on here saying it was horrible, I'd find it even more so because I don't like Tim Burton.

Speaking of Johnny Depp, that new movie he's in with Angelina Jolie (The Tourist) looks pretty good; I think it's out tomorrow. I'd like to see it, and Tangled.

I'm looking forward to Megashark versus Crocosaurus

I mean a Giant Octopus was pretty badass but a Crocosaurus is of course pure win.

Ironically, theather attendance has hit it's lowest point in years, according to many movie-goers due to the higher price for 3D movies keeping them from going to see more movies. Hollywood will probbaly blame pirates though...

It was originally planned to be 3D, but dropped at the last. You probably remember a few scenes with the snake that were almost made for 3D, that's probably because they were.

    Is that Urkel at 0:09?

Yep. IMDB confirms that it is.

How would Megashark and Crocosaurus fight?
    On a peninsula or something?
With Megashark jumping over the land and Crocosaurus slapping some shark face with its tail?
Oh wait. I bet the humans help Crocosaurus. They put it on a stretcher attached to a giant pulley, and then lower it over the surface of the ocean.
