Nightfall First Island Hyper Dificcult? o>O

HMm, I made my nightfall pve char yesterday (after 2 months with the nighfall exp.. lol) and okay.. everything going fine... But... i got a quest to recover a ring /etc (derv - 6)... and I pressed M and saw it was a easy way.. already have been there.. but for my surprise there was like monsters 15+ (19 one) quest non-related... I guess i am at the "pre-searing" (just like prophecies).. small island... etc... but i cant hold killing thingz that level.. and my hero mo is just stupid enough to die XD... so its normal that? :> Thankz

Oh, that quest has a lot of monster spawns. Abandon the quest (the skree spawns are due to the quest, and abandoning it should help clear some enemies up. Do it later when you're more powerful. My level 6 Dervish couldn't complete that either.

That quest also has a number of groups in a very close area -- so it's very easy to aggro more than a single mob of harpies at once. At low levels, this can be very painful (obviously).

Each mob is one healer and three rangers. If you're fighting more than that, you need to work on pulling them out a bit more. If you go for the healer first it's much easier -- provided your group can withstand the attacks from the rangers for a bit.

There's another quest right near there that spawns a bazillion harpies as well -- the Skree Hatchling Season quest. This quest spawns almost all level 2 harpies, but there are a few spots with level 11 or level 13 harpy mothers. Again, it's a case of careful pulling (the mothers appear suddenly, but near the edges of the area, so they can mostly be avoided).

Note that not all of the zones on the starting island are the same level. For example, in Plains of Jarin, the highest level monster you'll face is a level 10 Irontooth Drake -- and they can be fought one at a time. In Zehlon Reach, you may have a level 11 Skale who has a few friends to help kill you. In Cliffs of Dohjok there are some level 13 foes, also with friends. And so on.

So as soulwar noted, you may want to leave the quest until a bit later.

You can do both at once, the two areas don't really overlap. They are very close to each other, though.
