    Concept Class Challenge - Corsair/Mukseteer

    Introduction:
-Hi, I thought of a CCC cause of Darkhell's(some guy from GWG) Comossion(dunno the spelling) about a Bad Guy CC, So I thought of a CCC which revolves around Corsairs^^.
The Most Suitable Job which I can think for GW, with a "Maybe Bad Background".
And you guys can still make a Good Guy Corsair, Musketeer.
I find both of them have a large resemblance except their roles.
While Corsairs are like Thieves, While Musketeers they are like Police^^.
I'll be thinking of a CCC which is hard to think of soon, Which you guys have something in mind^^.
But I am thinking of a Samurai or Martial Artist Next Time^^.

    Prize:
-Their would only be one one Winner.
    • My Congratualtions^^!
    • My Assistance(Optional, Mission/Quest/Farm/PvP, EotN excluded)
    • Money is not Final, For I am broke(Any Donations^^?)
    Judges:
[i]--I need atleast 3 Judges who are Veteran CC Makers(Ex. System_Crush, Actionjack, Nebojat & more)^^.
PM me if you wan't to Volunteer^^.
Judges may still register for the Contest but they need to be fair with their Judging.

    Attributes:

    Judge's Opinion
-The CCs would be Judged through these 3 Attributes:
The Judge's Opinion would cover 1/3 of the Challenge.
    • Roleplay - 5 Points
    • Uniqness - 3 Points
    • Background - 2 Points
    People's Opinion
-A Poll would be used to Vote for the People's Opinion.
The People's Opinion would cover 2/3 of the Challenge.

    Challenge:
-The Challenge would be based on Corsairs or Musketeers.
You need to make a very Unique and Apealling CC to win the Challange.

    Deadline/Judging Period:
    • GTM, +8:00
    • To Be Told..
    Footnotes:
-You may Critisize other's work, and Also you may Compliment other's work too.

Guru is off limits again? I thought it was OK, since it didn't have any GW gold ads or stuff like that. I'm not complaining, but I'm just interested, because I'm sure I saw a mod say that Guru was OK... somewhere...

    Anyways...

I made a few skills and attribute lines, but I just couldn't get out of the R/W or W/R mindset. And, the more I thought about him, the more guns started to stand out of Guild Wars. It really doesn't fit too good.
    About the things I did:

    Buccaneer

    Class Stats:
    Equipment
Buccaneers have an armor of AL 70, and 30 energy with 3 pips of regeneration. Special armor sets are available, such as the Artillerist, with +8 overall energy, the Gunner, which offers +20 AL against Fire and Piercing, or the Watcher, which offers +10 AL, but at a -20 Al penalty against Lightning.
    Powder
Gunpowder is the Buccaneer's special mechanic. It works like the reverse of the Warrior's Adrenaline. A Buccaneer can not have more than 20 units Powder, and Powder recharges at a rate of 1 unit every 2 seconds, but only if the Buccaneer is not attacking with a firearm(this regeneration starts 4 seconds after Buccaneer's last use of Powder). Each shot from a firearm uses 1 unit of Powder, and special firearm skills cost atleast 1 additional unit. A Buccaneer without Powder can not shoot his weapon.
    Firearms
All firearms are two-handed, some are like hand culverins and have innate Armor Penetration, some are like rifled cannons and have extra range, and some are like pistols, one in each hand, and have increased rate of fire but decreased range. Firearms fire at different default speeds. The default firing speed ranges from 4.0 seconds for the slowest, to 2.6 seconds for the fastest firing. This is further decreased by the primary attribute Alacrity. Firearms do a maximum of 5-25 damage. Firearms bullets more three times faster than arrows.
    Fencing
The Buccaneer is also able to wield a blade with some skill. While his fencing is mostly a defensive discipline, a Buccaneer is not an opponent to be triffled with in melee combat. Buccaneer melee weapons range from sabers, cutlasses through falchions to rapiers, and they deal a maximum of 12-18 damage. The default attack speed is 1.73 seconds, but this is further decreased by the primary attribute Alacrity.

    Attributes:
    Alacrity
Alacrity is the Buccaneer's primary attribute. It affects the speed at which he attacks with both firearms and melee weapons. Each point in Alacrity increases the Buccaneer's attack speed by 4%. (NOTE: This is a relative 4%, not fixed. The Mesmer Fast Casting also uses a relative 4% boost.)

    Fencing
Fencing allows the Buccaneer the use of light melee weapons. Skills that enhance the melee capabilities of the Buccaneer are more effective with higher levels of Fencing.

    Firearms Mastery
Firearms Mastery affects how good you are with various firearms. Skills that enhance the damage of your firearm shots are more effective with higher levels of Firearms Mastery.

    Resourcefulness
Resourcefulness is the Buccaneer's ability to adapt to new enviroments and situations. Skills that heal or defend the Buccaneer or harm his enemies are more effective with higher levels of Resourcefulness.

    Sample Skills:
Sample skills given are in a 0-15 attribute range. Powder costs are additional, not total.

    Cast: 1
    Recharge: 30
For 3..20 seconds, you gain 5 Health regeneration and 2 Energy regeneration, and you regenerate Powder twice as fast.

    Closing Words:
I couldn't decide about the Primary attribute, should it affect shooting speed, or attack skill recharge. I think either could suffice.
I wanted to create the feel of an 18th century musketman who fist fires a volley or two from his weapons, and then engages in melee defensively until the musketmen behind him can reload. I tried to envision a firearms-wielding soldier in an earlier period, to fit him into the world better, but I couldn't really do it. Earlier gunpowder infantry were very limited, usually fired one shot and then charged normally without ever using the firearm. I had alot of fun designing the class, but I don't think it could fit in the GW world just yet.
The stuff in full italics(as opposed to a title in italics) is what I changed just now, because I realised it was sickeningly over/underpowered.
....Scratch that, I just realised that a quote is always italicised :p I still think most of it's over the top, and doesn't fit in the GW world, and probably won't fit in GW2 either...

I know you have probably spent so much time with this ccc, magnacarta, but guns just don't really do it for me and I can't see how they will fit with the lore.
