I am sure the answer is out there, but how do I get my currect characters into the nightfall area? I have guild wars, and fractions.

You can go from either Kaineng Center or Lion's Arch.
In Lion's Arch, talk to Lionguard Figo (on the docks) to get the Sunspears in Kryta quest. In Kaineng Center, talk to Imperial Guardsman Linro (near the exit to Bejunkan Pier) to get Sunspears in Cantha.
Note that you'll be facing high-level enemies. Level 24 Wrathful Storms and so on. So you have two things to consider.
If you're taking only your character (no other human players), it's probably going to be easier to go from Kaineng Center. There are more foes, but you can have a party of eight -- including level 20 henchmen. If you have other human players, Lion's Arch may be easier. Far fewer foes to deal with, but of course the henchmen are low level and you only have a party of six.
In either case, having a character with interrupts is going to make things much easier (the Wrathful Storms use Meteor Shower and Firestorm, which wipe out the Lion's Arch henchies very very quickly).

3rd game/Chapter: Nightfall
The way I'm understanding your post is that you only have the first 2 chapters. Is that right?
If so first to get to Nightfall you need to buy the 3rd game/chapter Nightfall before you can go there.
Maybe I'm wrong. If I am then indeed follow what nkuvu said.

My understanding was that Brinn has Prophecies and Factions in addition to Nightfall. But I can see how it could be read to mean that Nightfall isn't added to the account at all (and I can't say for sure one way or the other, of course).

the first person got what I ment. I added it to my account, and I didn't know how to get my old characters over to that land. Thank you all.
