Also depends on the age of the character. Since Proph did have all those arenas that were later closed off. So old characters who went there have a LOT of leeway.

This is on a NF character and a "new" Prophecies character.

The end-of-game area near Droknar also can give extra to make up a bit of that. And the Lion's Gate area or whatever that area SE is supposed to be.

Droknar hardly gives any. Lion's Gate gives some, but the prophecies map is so large, that it hardly matters.

You did give me hope though that I won't need to go back into every stinking place in order to get 100%. I am at 97.6% now.

I really can't understand how it is possible to map 100% of Tyria with a young character ( one without possibility to map arenas ) without entering every single explorable area... I had to scrape every single explorable and mission quite well with my warrior and do most of the gimmicks as well. I know I left a small bit in Northern wall mission to be mapped but I really couldn't reach that in given time ( timer is clicking there and even using 100% speedboost didn't bring me far enough ), but maybe there's a short cut somewhere.

The main reason I disliked mapping Tyria is that Tyria is BIG and there's many areas that doesn't have any connected outposts , but instead you have to travel through other areas to get there ( Dreadnought's Drift!!!, Mineral Springs, The Falls ... the list goes on... ). In the other words, mapping Tyria is too slow to my liking.

Maybe I'll have to do Tyrian GMC someday with my assa too, but I'll do whatever I can before it....

I wanted to see how much leeway I had. So, I loaded TexMod. I started in Ascalon and scraped it completely, and continued till I had reached the Southern Shiverpeaks. I was waiting for the Grenth's Footpring z-vanquish to arrive, all the while clearing the shiverpeaks (both of enemies and of fog) and finishing the chapter. I especially didn't set foot in Grenth's Footprint. But I had 100% before I knew it. When I checked my map, I noticed I had large foggy areas left in Frozen Forest and was completely missing Footprint (I also still haven't got Grendich Courthouse on my map...)

I think I was missing about 1.2%. (Footprint is 1% and the remaining fog in Frozen Forest was substantial) And that's way more than you have in either Cantha and Elona...

And I don't have any of those old arenas on any of my characters...

I still only need my Obsidian Armor (which, if I sell my EL Margonite tonic, I could EASILY afford and STILL have a LOT left over...It's anywhere from 200e to 260e...Argos has people selling that high, but I dunno if they got sold, I was at least told to not settle for less than 200e)

And lastly I need 12 more weapons, including a tormented weapon.

Texmod makes a big difference. Sometimes you can scrape a corner well, but it doesn't register on the server. Without texmod, you just would continue and miss out on it.

Never even tried TexMod... even as mapping without it is - as it seems - much more time consuming, using Texmod would be like, uh, cheating or something, imo.

And I think everything must be doable without any third part addons like texmod.

Everything should be doable without third party addons, but I make an exception with carto. I don't use third party addons otherwise, not even my gaming mouse macros (too lazy to set it up).

I did the first carto title I got without textmod... and the other 2 with. You should just do it with textmod, it is much less of pain. Trying to get that last small corner is easier to get if you actually know you're missing it...

Well, my warrior has legendary carto - now when I don't see where I am missing bits I can look at his maps and check suspicious places.

I think I'll do Tyrian protector first. I have done 14 missions so far, next I am going to do Iron Mines of Moladune bonus, hopefully today and continue in Maguuma Jungle. Sadly I have no access yet to Aurora, Glade, Riverside Province, Frost Gate or Borlis pass - getting those locations will slow me down a bit.

After Tyrian protector I am not sure what to do next.... Elona is at 93% for carto and should be quite fast to complete, but would not give me new statue for HoM account wide. LB is at about 22k and elonian vanquisher has 12 areas left to vanquish - mainly at areas where I have the missing parts for carto in Elona, so it would be quite sensible choice. And would also help me in LB so I should continue vanquishing - but it is also quite time consuming and my playing sessions tends to be a bit too short for that :(
