Anyone here ever tried mead? I went to a phantasy fair last weekend, and they sold mead there. Bought 2 different kinds. Love it! Feanor's Finest Young Mead.

It's an alcoholic drink, like wine, only yeasted with honey instead of grapes... sort of.
It's what they used to drink in Viking legend and days of yore. They drink it in the movie Beowulf (the animated one) and Beowulf and Grendel (the older one). In that story, the king built a mead hall that was ravaged by Grendel.

Lol it's mjød in Norwegian. The vikings used to drink it.

Yup they had a bottle of Skjalde Mjød there as well. It was white with a cork. The stand owner didn't know what it meant. Perhaps you could translate?
