Belated thanks to Tomas and Xian as well Pepernoten are small ginger-bread like cookies, they're delicious and addicting, but they're only around for a Dutch national holiday, Sinterklaas (nice fact, Dutchies brought him to New York (former Dutch colony) where he was renamed Santaclaus, the included link is a nice read on wikipedia). If Anet ever decides to have 'pepernoten' and chocolate letters to drop I will be so delighted, that would be the best thing EVER! Like every year all little children in The Netherlands are waiting for Sinterklaas to come, and most older kids or adults like me still celebrate it as well. I love it! We love it! The birthday cake is on me today. Literally. Dena stumbled in the GH while carrying it and fell down into the cake.
