I'm glad there's finally a way to get onto Steam chat while mobile, as it's the only IM client I use nowadays. As for the rest, I'm meh at this point. I wonder if we'll see an increase in accounts getting hijacked.

I've downloaded the app, installed, signed in and "expressed my interest" in participating in the mobile beta. We'll see if I get access or not.
Also, this is a pet peeve of mine... Why do users think it's okay to down-rate something, whether in the app store, Newegg or on Amazon, for reasons that have nothing to do with how the product actually works? Shipped late? One star. My device is old and can't run it? One star. I like its competition instead? One star. I have no idea how to handle PC hardware and this device isn't working because I screwed up. One star.It's like all of those "High Tech Level" people on Newegg that don't know what they're doing. I would only rate myself a 3.5/5, but some joker who opened his PC once thinks he's 5/5 and gives feedback as such.

That reminds me of a bias where incompetent people think they are more competent than they are, and competent people think they are less competent than they are. The more you know, the more you know that there's a lot you don't know.

On Newegg? Yeah. You enter your "Tech Level" when giving feedback. Or maybe it's somewhere in your profile. Either way, I constantly see people with "High" tech level, 4/5 or 5/5, leaving boneheaded feedback. (which often gets corrected by other users pointing things out, or the manufacturer giving them the simple solution ... but not always)
And while briefly speaking of peeves, has anyone else noticed the forum screwing up their paragraph formatting when they edit? That's why my other post was all jammed together for a while.
