I just started downloading warhammer.... :s
Which one? The MMO? The 3rd person shooter (just played that, a decent, short romp), one of the RTS's, something else...
It's still on sale, so scoop it up if you're interested. Ends on the 9th.
So far the combat isn't bothering me. The jumping does, though. I died on one level six times and about four of those was falling into a pit.
The art style reminds me more of a 90s adventure game, like Full Throttle.
I booted up Just Cause 2 last night, almost finally made it through that mission I was stuck on. Then I blew myself up.
I really enjoyed it when I played it, but the Mythic team were kind of jerks when I worked with them, so I quit.

Ya, I don't know about it either right now. It kinda reminds me of LOTRO in look. I heard that there were some pretty fun things about it in the beginning. The f2p accounts are limited to lvl10, I think. Which sounds pretty useless to me. I can see that working with WoW because of the sheer number of people playing it but, when there's like 4 servers up, I'd think you'd want to do anything you can to get ppl playing. Which reminds me of SWTOR. All I hear about that game now is discounts and special offers all the time. Makes me wonder how well that thing is doing atm. Dunno, I'll try this for a bit, see how it goes.
Jeez.
The Elder Scrolls MMO:
one of the player factions is Nords, Dark Elves and Argonians
if you've played Skyrim you'll know why that makes absolutely no sense

There's no shame in asking questions. Ask away at the Newcomer and Questions Forum for GW2. GW1 archive here.
Here comes your warrior, he's letting you know... that you can discuss the profession here.

Unless their publishing contract changed between Shank 1 and 2, I'd heartily advise against buying it on Steam and wait until it comes in a Humble Bundle and buy it there. Not only is the service superior (obviously), if you have ethical problems with supporting EA you can choose not to ask for a Steam key and bypass their obligation to pay EA part of their turnover.

I'm interested and scared for a TES mmo. the thing that's made those games so great was the openness in them. how can you translate that into an mmo? are players going to be able to gank and steal from each other while they're selling junk at the vendor? I don't know how it can work. or, are they just playing up the IP buzz to sell something, like if they made a Twilight game (I bet someone is already trying to or has made a vampire mmo).
