I thought they proved that T-rexes didn't have feathers after all?
The evidence is conflicting. New evidence revealed that raptors had feathers for sure, and most likely looked very simular to the raptors in Guild Wars, ironically.
But regarding the T Rex... well wikipedia says feathers would be a disadvantage to such a large animal. And other evidence points to a sort of scales.
However:In 2004, the scientific journal Nature published a report describing an early tyrannosauroid, Dilong paradoxus, from the famous Yixian Formation of China. As with many other theropods discovered in the Yixian, the fossil skeleton was preserved with a coat of filamentous structures which are commonly recognized as the precursors of feathers. It has also been proposed that Tyrannosaurus and other closely related tyrannosaurids had such protofeathers. However, skin impressions from large tyrannosaurid specimens show mosaic scales. While it is possible that protofeathers existed on parts of the body which have not been preserved, a lack of insulatory body covering is consistent with modern multi-ton mammals such as elephants, hippopotamus, and most species of rhinoceros. As an object increases in size, its ability to retain heat increases due to its decreasing surface area-to-volume ratio. Therefore, as large animals evolve in or disperse into warm climates, a coat of fur or feathers loses its selective advantage for thermal insulation and can instead become a disadvantage, as the insulation traps excess heat inside the body, possibly overheating the animal. Protofeathers may also have been secondarily lost during the evolution of large tyrannosaurids like Tyrannosaurus, especially in warm Cretaceous climates.
So perhaps T rex younglings were covered in fur, and the animals lost their fur as they matured? Also, related: Paleantologist Jack Horner has issued a controversial, yet convincing hypothesis that a lot of dinosaur species that have been identified, might actually just be the same species of dinosaur at various states of its life cycle.A Feathered Tyrant
Tyrannosaurus rex roamed North America around 66 million years ago—long after the animals you see here were alive. But a small tyrannosaur from the same family lived in the Liaoning forest. This small cousin of T. rex was also a fierce predator and no doubt preyed on many of the animals shown here. Look for a full-size model of this dinosaur, named Dilong paradoxus, drinking at the pond.
Certain features of Dilong resemble those of T. rex. Both have large jaws with small, tightly packed front teeth. But this tyrannosaur has some surprising features—most notably, a thin coat of featherlike fibers. A team of paleontologists led by Xu Xing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences studied the fibers and thinks these "protofeathers" may have helped keep Dilong warm.
Did T. Rex Have Feathers?
A feathered T. rex? Probably so—at least when the animals were young. Paleontologists think feathers may have first evolved to keep dinosaurs warm. But while a young T. rex probably had a thin coat of downy feathers, an adult T. rex would not have needed feathers to stay warm. Large warm-blooded animals—like T. rex or modern elephants—generate a great deal of body heat so they usually don't need hair or feathers to keep warm. This is probably why elephants, which are mammals, don't have much hair.

Dino D-Day. rofl. that's really crazy. I like it.
Adolf Hitler has succeeded in resurrecting dinosaurs. The reptilian horde has trampled Europe and the Mediterranean. Can nothing stop the ****’s dinosaur army?
Dino D-Day is a frantic, action-packed multiplayer game that will transport you to a World War II that should have been. You and your friends will battle online choosing to serve the cause of the Allied nations or Adolf Hitler. The Allied side includes six playable characters each with unique weapons and abilities to use in combat. Gun down a Dilophosaur with your trusty M1 Garand, blast a kamikaze pterosaur out of the sky with your Thompson sub-machine gun, toss out a dead jack rabbit to lure a raptor into a trap.
As an Axis player you will have your choice of three human classes and three dinosaur classes. Ambush your enemy with speed and stealth as the Raptor, mercilessly pound the enemy with the Desmatosuchus’ heavy 20mm gun, rampage through enemy groups as the Dilophosaur, pick up a body and throw it at an enemy for a double kill! The German soldier classes are the perfect complement to their dinosaur comrades.
You’ve played World War II games before…but have you played a World War II game with dinosaurs?

Yeah, it sounds more awesome than it is. Too bad dino games almost always fail (Dino Beatdown, anyone?)
So Hitler is done with zombies and now resurrects dinosaurs instead? This is incredibly silly even by game standards![]()
By the way, I tried Tribes Ascend and it is definitely not fun.
