Scooped up KotR for $2.50, grabbed Borderlands for $7.50. Not sure if I'll play either, but for the price /shrug may as well.

I'm thinking of grabbing skyrim... but not sure if it's worth to spend $30 bucks on a game i'm gonna be playing for about a month.

Honestly, I "tested" Skyrim, played it a few times, couldn't figure out what I was doing and haven't started it back up since. I think I uninstalled it.
If you think you'll enjoy it, it's probably worth the money, especially since that's the deepest sale on it so far.

Yeah, I don't know if I would or wouldn't. I always hear great things about it, but you're the second person that's told me it's meh (shawn being the first)
Maybe I'll wait till next year or something.
Edit: also the Civilization collection just went up for $30 bucks on the flash section.

I think Skyrim can be great if you're the type to find your own things to do, to explore, to find for yourself all the quests. It's a lot more sandbox than other games, so it's not for everyone in that respect.
edit:
Orcs Must Die is now 75% off. Get it now or leave it.

You can tell the quality of life of people by what they complain about
Just like Oblivion (... and Fallout 3 / Vegas), Skyrim is actually quite "linear" once you picked a quest/story-arc, of which the major ones are not hard to find at all. Sure you can just wander off aimlessly too, but the game does a lot that this won't happen by accident.
There are also a great amount of mods by now (shiny armors, interface, increased inv space, to name a few useful ones).
Personally I enjoyed the game a lot, out of its genre, I thought that only the Dragon Age's could really rival it in terms of overall quality/quests/locations. You can easily get 70ish+ hours playtime, so it's a well worth investment.
