It's gorgeous, but much more difficult for me than Audiosurf, etc. Guess my brain's not used to thinking that way yet.

Steam sale? Anything worthwhile?

I found myself today contemplating getting a game I don't want just to get the ticket achievement from it just so I would have a higher chance of getting 10 more games that I don't really want either.
I have a problem. Why is steam doing this - OH MY GOD WHY????
EDIT: I don't even want to buy anything with the tickets... I just want to... have them

Points, tickets, etc... way to farm more coinage from compulsive game buyers.
I made a rule not to buy new games unless I finish the ones I have. By finished I mean complete, or get bored to the point that I don't want to finish it.
Unless there's a really good deal for a game I wanted.

I won't be buying anymore games til Skyrim and then GW2. That is it, that is all. No special offers, no tickets are going to get me to buy. If they want me to buy meaningless dribble they have to get me prereleases of the above mentioned games.

Yeah, when Lead & Gold's going for less than £2, it's just hard to resist.![]()

I wish I didn't already own most of the games in the Valve pack. Portal 2 is 33% off. Gonna gamble and wait for an even bigger sale. I LIVE ON THE EDGE!
Kind of, yeah. I have one ticket already, but that's only from joining the Summer Camp Steam club. Plus, the only "prize" I want is the Magicka* map, which only costs 3 tickets. So, I won't be buying games just to get that.
Though The Witcher 2 is on a decent sale, I know I don't have time to play it yet. And DiRT 3 would be tempting at 33% off, but again... I'm pretty sure I haven't played everything in DiRT 2 yet. So, kinda pointless. The only games I'll buy are going to have to be on extreme sale or super cheap indie titles. Jamestown, Capsized or Terraria, for instance. I'd buy those for 50% off.
*Speaking of Magicka: It's all on sale.
