as i live here i can tell you the BP issue is in the Gulf of Mexico and located between Texas and Louisiana. the main slick will be making contact on all the gulf states it hit Texas 2 days ago and is now showing up in Louisiana. Florida is major upset as they do have beaches that are somewhat nice. the other states that may be affected are Mississippi and Alabama.

Lady you are of course correct. New Mexico has no coast line that touches the water of the gulf. Mexico the nation has some but not the state of New Mexico.
