Ascend Of Things was named by a nine year old. Not wanting the ordinary skull-crusher name, yet still wanting to have an element of decency about it Ascend literally came from a boy who said, "Well you do everything back to front anyhow, so why not ***-end?", and Ascend of ~ it became. [AUST] Alliance started out with the purpose of finding like-minded people for some socializing while playing. It now has a strong PvE focus with a close-knit group of friendly, fun players who enjoy Guild Wars and where physical age and character experience doesn’t matter so much as maturity. Our oldest members are over 40 and our youngest member is just 10. From one guild, we became two with Ascend Of Nowhere, and then added Ascend Of Whatever, Ascend Of Everything and Ascend Of Chaos, as well as our newest guilds . As interest grew, we have become an alliance comprising:
Other guilds that have made [AUST] their home are Pure Primal Rage [FarQ], The Knights Of Concrete [Con], Relax And Be [CooL] and Get Rich Or Die [TRYN]. This now makes [AUST]Alliance one of the few alliances still left in the game with 10 guilds, all Australian/New Zealand based.
Our distinguishing features are our fetish and excitement for dye drops, our interview process and our cape colours. While we are mainly an Australian Guild, we don’t limit ourselves to our corner of the world alone, having close connections to New Zealand and the U.K., among others.
We now have over 650+ players across the board: a core group of regulars and others that play at intervals. Amongst these are quite a number of couples and their kids and family members, as well as close friends, school/uni friends and work colleagues, making [AUST] Alliance quite a family oriented affair. Our distinguishing features are our fetish and excitement for dye and green/gold drops, our interview process and our cape colours. While we are mainly an Australian guild we don’t limit ourselves to our corner of the world alone, having close connections to New Zealand and the U.K, as well as three US based guilds, among others. We have found that people from across the globe generally want an active guild; one that when they log-on people are online with them. That being said, unless players keep "Australian" time, we've found that the time difference is usually a deciding factor in long term membership. So while we're happy and more than willing to have members from all around the world, it doesn't always work out in the long run. On the other hand, we have members and officers who live across the waters and have embraced [AUST] Alliance as adopted Aussies.
What sets [AUST] Alliance apart from any other guild(s) you’ve been a member of? (we hear you ask)
As a member in [AUST] Alliance, you have the benefit of resources and opportunities geared toward strengthening your game knowledge, skills and confidence. We strive to give as much support as we’re able throughout your game experience. Guild leaders, officers, ascended members and even members are more than willing to help you grow into a fully experienced, independently functioning player that can then pass such knowledge on to new members. We have forums that we require all members to register for. This is not only because the forum allows you to access interesting and valuable game information, but it connects you to fellow guild mates, and is an excellent way of familiarizing yourself with the guild rules and sharing a little bit of yourself with us. Posting on the forums puts you in touch with your GW community.
Who do you contact to become a member of the guild?
On the publicly viewable section of the forum there is an up to date officer list. Or you can click the tabs at the top of this page for a bit of a fun angle. Message any of these guys in-game and they'd be glad to interview you for membership.
