You can pre-order the book and GW2 at amazon.com apparently. They have no clue when (or if) these things will come out, but they can sell it to you.
I'd wait closer to release to pre-order anything... there may be some special offers.

If the release date on my site is valid, you can pre order and have it shipped to you without shipping cost if the order is $39.00 and up. This is where I order my Blu-Rays from and they are very fast on delivery.
It's listed as Ghosts of Ascalon. The release date is listed as July 27th, this is the Canadian Amazon .ca they also have an Amazon.com for U.S costumers. Before I forget they also have a GW 2011 calendar on the website.

Hmm. I wonder what will happen to my Fall of Ascalon pre-order?![]()
Done and done, I've ordered a few Blu-Ray movies today from Amazon.ca along with a copy of the "Ghosts Of Ascalon" with a confirmed shipping date of July 27th along with a copy of my 2011 Guild Wars calendar to be shipped on July 15th. No back orders for me...
Next on my shopping list is Guild Wars 2 stupendous special edition pre-order

I think the title change made sense.
Some of it was in response to some feedback from players at PAX, during our booth panel on the book, where people felt "Fall of Ascalon" seemed a little confusing because Ascalon had already fallen way before the events of the story in the book.

Well, it was only a matter of time before ArenaNet and NCSoft would start a Guild Wars line of novels, and the first volume is heading your way this summer. If you live in North America or Europe anyway.mcseGhosts of Ascalon, written by Matt Forbeck and Jeff Grubb, will be the first in a new series; events take place prior to Guild Wars 2, when humans are attempted to form an alliance with the Charr to combat a greater threat. The Charr are willing to deal, but it turns out their most prized relic, the Claw of Khan-Ur, is still stuck somewhere in the ruins of Ascalon.
Obviously they send a team of adventurers to retrieve it, with the usual dangers and inner-demons to overcome. So what's so difficult about a simple extraction mission? The undead now rule over Ascalon.
Prepare some of that Smite magic, and make sure you've got enough healers. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
