That dragon (and every other dragon in GW2 I know of) came of his own will, because they are connected to their corrupted and saw that we were cleansing them. That makes them hungry. They need their corrupted (whether undead or whatever) to spread their corruption, and so they intervene whenever we do a good job of killing those off.

That is really the only think needed to summon dragons and champions. Or we can find them in their own lair.

it's actually really simple to take down a dragon, every dragon is bound in one way or the other to an artifact or wand.
destroy them and it's just a walk in a park, they don't die but their power source is gone.

Errrr, dragons didn't exist for real.

I assume you mean "dragons in the literature". Even then, from story to story, what kills dragons really differ. Afaik, magical artifacts being tied to dragon's power is not really common, not as common as light killing vampires.

Also differ by culture.

Discovery once did a whole program about the biology of dragons if they were real and how they would have died out. The heat of the egg determined their gender. Male dragons would try to keep the temperature at whatever degree to make the baby dragons girls, which contributed to the dying out of the species.

Also, this program contributed to Discovery becoming silly.
