Veritas Invictus ~ The TRUE Guild
Spartacus season 2 finale - I've never seen a show kill off so many long running characters in single episode before. At least not on any show that planned to continue. The series does not mess around. There's only one female character left, and practically no scheming types. It'll be interesting to see who all they introduce in season 3.
I've watched the first 2 episodes of the new Game of Thrones season, and it has been remarkably dull. The episodes so far have zipped between characters so quickly its hard to build up an interest in what's going on. The occasional pair of hooters helps, but after the feast of debauchery that was Spartacus, they're really going to have to ramp it up if they want to raise an eyebrow.

It's interesting you say that about zipping between characters -- that's what made it impossible for me to finish the books. I was invested in the characters and really wanted to know all of their stories, but I felt like I got whiplash every time I started a new chapter.
I think I'd rather they devote an entire episodes to one primary character and his/her support rather than jump around every 5 minutes. But then since all anyone does is talk, maybe zipping around is a way of keeping it from dragging on.
Also, all these people are bad at boning. I think the show is trying to be gritty, or shocking with those scenes, but they mostly just come off as unintentionally funny.
At first I didn't mind the zipping around, but as the books go on and more characters come and go it gets annoying - it becomes very difficult to get as invested in the new 'main' characters as you are in the ones you've been reading from the start of book one.

Almighty Johnsons Season 1's over, but not without ending on one of the most epic awkward moments. And violent lovemaking.![]()

Just watched 2010 for the first time in years. I bought the Blu-Ray and unlike 2001, the transfer was poor because of graininess. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the movie.

The new Sherlock series on PBS. I really like him in a modern-day setting.
