Lightsabers ftw!
Been a while since I watched Star Wars...
I watched Hot Tub Time Machine and enjoyed every bit of it. Definitely not one of those grimy, smelly comedies they've been putting out lately.

Watched an Australian movie, The Square, last night. Talk about a movie that goes from bad to worse to outright ugly. Not really a thriller, but a very good movie that has a good moral to it.
Veritas Invictus ~ The TRUE Guild
Kev and I rented The Time Traveler's Wife last night. I read the book a few years ago, and have been wanting to see the movie for quite a while.
It's one of the few movies I've seen that stayed true to the book, and was as good as the book. I loved it so much. It's a tearjerker, but a fascinating plot and so well done.
Hey Rub's.
I read the book also but left the watching of the film down to my wife.
Needless to day she wasn't impressed.
Why did you find the film good?
In my mind I knew it would be fodder and flotsam.

What am I watching? CBS Sunday Morning. It is one of the very few commercial network shows I enjoy.
Veritas Invictus ~ The TRUE Guild
I'm watching season 7 of Star Trek Voyager right now.
Next Generation season 1 next.
Usualy watch an episode when I get home from the afternoon shift.
Might watch Fast and the Furious tonight.

I'm watching Death Note, an anime series that proves to be very interesting... A lot of psych and detective work and moral dilemmas, and unexpected twists that actually make sense.

You can tell the quality of life of people by what they complain about
Hmm. Maybe it's just a chick flick overall, but I enjoyed the premise. Spending your life with someone under those circumstances is a pretty wild thought, and I enjoyed the acting. I really got invested in the main characters and their lives -- that's the hallmark of a good movie to me, if it makes you care about the characters.
I got tickled at some of the little things that showed how the family had adapted to the situation. For example, near the end, Claire looked outside and saw five-year-old Alba hanging out talking to ten-year-old Alba. Then the little one came in alone and Claire casually said "Where's Alba?" "She had to go." "Oh."
If there was anything negative about it, it's that all the other characters felt two-dimensional. I have no clue what the name of Claire's best friend is, but I wonder if even that was intentional. It was the story of these three people, and everyone else is strictly peripheral.
I cried pretty hard at the end, but I had some laughs too, and it's a story that stuck with me vividly since I read the book several years ago.
ETA: I also love the way that Claire finally conceived in the end. "Okay, fine. I'll just have sex with this one instead." That cracked me up for some reason.
