It seems that the time has come for Green Latern to get some live action love.
It needs to tank so he will go ahead and focus on Deadpool. But I think they're planning a Green lantern trilogy already.![]()

We had the Blu-ray of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Saturday and we liked it so much that we then watched The Girl Who Played With Fire last night (Netflix stream). The first was better, but the second was good, just not as good as the first.
Veritas Invictus ~ The TRUE Guild
Apparently there is a new Buffy movie in the works, without Whedon's involvement. Since he derailed the Wonder Woman movie, perhaps this is karma. Then again, Buffy could be fun to watch without the annoying snarkly Whedon-hipster dialog. Anyway. . .
G.I. Joe - Ugh. Just Ugh. If you were a fan of the Marvel comics, stay far away. Actually, you should probably avoid it even if you weren't. Although bad acting isn't usually too big a deal, here the main fella really is so out of place that it actually reminds you of what a lousy movie you're watching.
This was made painfully clear during the whole robot suit (Wtf?) chase scene thingy that dragged on for a lifetime. I literally paused the movie in the middle of it and asked myself if I really wanted to sit through another hour of this. Unfortunately, the coin I flipped came up tails, and I soldiered on. There was probably a plot in there somewhere, maybe even a good one, but with so many characters shoehorned in it is mostly lost in the confusion.
While watching, my inner child kept coming up with ways the movie could improve, or how a sequel might actually be really fun. (Namely kill off the abominations that are "Duke and Ripcord" and rename the Movie "Snake-Eyes and some other guys who aren't badass ninja.") - But that inner child had to be put down towards the end of the movie when the whole "She isn't really evil, just mind controlled by tiny robots. gg." bit was tossed up out of no where.
Either watch it to see a playful Sienna Miller in tight leather (just skip any scene where she's blond) or don't watch it at all.
Altitude - A bunch of a-holes teens get in a plane and are chased by a flying Cthulhu. That sums up what I understood. I think there was suppose to be more going on, but who cares? Flying Cthulhu.
Charlie Wilson's War - Surprisingly fun. It's based on the whole 80s Afgan-Soviet conflict so it's bound to get the political types and chickenhawks riled up. As for the movie, Tom Hanks is fun to watch with the accent, and the supporting cast isn't bad enough to hurt things. I'd say it's worth watching if you're not bored by the subject matter.
Pluto Nash - I'd avoided this movie due to all negative word of mouth, but it was better than I expected. It reminded me of a weaker 5th Element, in that comedy-sci-fi kind of way. I'd probably watch it again from time to time (Just like the 5th element) as a pick me up flick.
Hell Boy 2 - Rather weak compared to the 1st movie. Still decent. The plot is probably the weakest element here. There really isn't much to it. Worth watching if you liked the original, I suppose.
2 Fast 2 Furious
- Better than the original. Which likely isn't saying much. It removed most of the things that made the first movie so rage worthy (annoying characters, ricer fixation, srs pl0t) so that helped. It's also set in Miami, has a lot of hot women, and gives out some respect to other types of cars, namely older American muscle. The less than epic plot was more fitting, so it was at least fun to watch.
