You mean because it gets as bad as when the good guy is being shot at by 40 men using machine guns and always missing, but that good guy has a pellet gun and manages to kill them all with one shot each? Naw.

Thank goodness for Netfilx online. We had Hobo With A Shotgun in the queue because we are long-time Rutger Hauer fans. After 25 minutes we stopped and gave it 1 star. All I can think is he must have been broke as all the other actors were terrible unknowns. Sure, a man walks around everywhere carrying a shotgun and no one thinks anything about it.
So then we tried another in the queue, Housebroken with Danny Devito. Again, another extremely stupid movie that we stopped watching after 10 minutes. We ended the night with Arctic Blast. It was okay, but same theme as Towering Inferno and other doom and gloom movies.

Well, I really liked the Venom thing, not a big fan of Sandman... but I have to agree that either would have been better than both.
It's not how many bad guys you throw at the hero that is the problem, it's that you have to introduce and explain every character. X-Men got it right by saying they're all mutants, all you really need to explain is what individual powers they have, and there you go. You can have tons of characters on either side.
But in Batman, Spiderman, etc, you need to explain the powers of every single character, and it's usually something lame like an experiment gone wrong or some alien good. And look here, we just wasted 30min explaining why those people have powers.

I've not picked up anything in a while. Just haven't heard of any new releases that warranted stopping by the dvd-store.

If I remember correctly (and I only just watched it this Saturday) he doesn't get the shotgun until well after 25 minutes.
As Giggles said in the OTF movie thread, it's a very surreal film. Don't expect everything to make sense and I figure you'll enjoy it a little better.![]()

Anybody else watching Warehouse 13/Alphas at all on Sci-fi? I'm liking Alphas significantly better than I was expecting.
Warehouse 13 has been kind of disappointing to me since the second season finale; their cliffhanger is resolved really fast in the first episode to boot, and this season has felt like the writers had a bunch of good ideas but nothing to space them out with.

But the acting was so poor. Maybe if I take some lorazepam the movie will be better.

Clubbed - saw it last night. It's an independent British movie and is a sleeper. Not sure where all found, but I watched it on Netflix streaming. Check it out!
