Well look at that, Joost actually has a good taste.

Yeah, those are some of my all-time favorites as well.

If you like those, you should really check out Robin Hobb and the two trilogies I mentioned from David Eddings, they are awesome!

And of course I have good taste, I actually have a brilliant taste, really

    Ghost of Ascalon arrived today.

    Yay got the book!
    Now my rant :p
If I ever deliverd such a poor a$$ quality of printing, I would be fierd.
And the way the book is bound, it won't survive the second time you read it, doubt even the first time...
They used the wrong kind of paper / they got the 'back' side of the cover wrong...

A couple of months to go until book 3 of Stephen Donaldson's Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant is out! Any other Donaldson readers out there? His name doesn't come up in conversations or forum threads often, yet he's one of the real greats of genre fiction. I understand his protagonists are often difficult and frustrating, and the books aren't exactly "fun" or funny.

Question for you eletronic book readers: how do they compare to real books when reading for longer periods? I don't read in snatches, during my lunch break or on the bus. I like to read for 4 to 8 hours at a time, but curling up with a real book is agony after four or five hours when you need to hold it up and open.

    I got the book, finally.

Cost me a 1.5h bike ride detour to get my package, but I got it.

I can't read, so I let the wife do it for me. Band of Brothers is the last I sat down to read. Seem to have a problem with ignoring everything till I finish. I think I read every military type book when I was overseas (fiction/non fiction)

I've got a lot of books ahead of me to read, it seems, but I'll ask anyway.

I keep hearing about Stieg Larsson's Millenium Trilogy (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo etc), but... is it actually worth reading?

I can read for hours on my device. I can hold it in either hand, as it has paging buttons on the bottom, right and left sides. And I can prop it up against anything (in bed, I often use a stuffed animal!). Right now, it's propped up against my monitor
