Think about it, really. The guy had to swallow a bunch of frankly stupid, hard-to-believe stories about his brother being handcuffed, and then keys for said handcuffs lost, etc. etc. all on faith. Then the amputated hand bit. All this and try to remain a functioning member of the team (which he has, more so than most of the others frankly). So a few glares I can live with. I can't say I actually find him 'likeable', but definitely respectworthy and perhaps more realistic than some of the other sheep.
Plus, when is a good crossbowman not cool? As someone else pointed out, apparently endless ammo to boot.

Tell me how this makes sense?

It makes sense if Darabont doesn't like the way the characters are written either, and prefers to do it himself. It wouldn't be the first time with a show. Maybe he's reading this forum and answering our concerns?![]()
Yeah, I saw the closing show finally and I pretty much think everyone acted like retards in it. Hopefully some new writing will add more spice.

A little necromancy, so to speak - I got around to getting these on Netflix. I'm looking forward to the next season; I guess I don't share the same delicate taste as y'all.
I have to admit, I like the actor who portrays the (now) one-handed hick, and thought his character was a bit shallow.
So, season two premiered last night. Has anyone seen it yet? I'm going to look around for it online tonight. Not sure whether AMC has it up on their site or not.
A sword might be grateful to the forge fire, but never fond of it.
I never "tune in" to shows; I just watch them the next day (and I work in advertising hehe).
Are we getting a full season this year? Or is it a tease like last year?
I don't have cable TV, so I'm the same way. Hulu and official network sites make it easy to do it the proper way, but cable channels tend to be stingier with online content. They'll often only show you the pilot or season premiere online, if anything at all. IIRC, I had to get creative for a way to watch the show last year.
I understand how advertising works, too, which is why I think any network not embracing the growing online audience is being foolish. Make it easy to view content online and people will willingly watch content with ads. The three big American networks (NBC, CBS, ABC) understand that, but HBO and AMC, etc, seem to think they gain something by remaining on-air exclusive. Throw in the fact that torrenting TV is a bit of a grey area and that a lot of people just want to watch their shows...
IMDB shows it as having 13 episodes this season, so it's the equivalent of a summer series amount. Are we getting a full season this year? Or is it a tease like last year?
/edit/
After looking around AMC's site, they don't appear to have the episode online. Instead, we get trivia, teasers and personality tests. There are a few webisodes, but those aren't a replacement for real episodes, IMO.

Recorded it last night on DirecTV, I'll watch it sometime this week.
