I didn't watch all the videos, but was there any mention of traps and/or locks?

Thieves are adept at the art of stealth. They utilize surprise and shadow to get close to their enemies, and they're deadly in one-on-one combat. They have an affinity for setting traps and going where they were never meant to go.

So, traps, but setting them, not disarming. Good, I hope that's an important mechanic because I HATE laying traps, but the thief interests me otherwise. One less class to have to play YAY!

I'd think disabling traps would be a profession-independent skill... more of a puzzle actually. Unless we mean "thief traps" in which case it's more like walking in and out of a trap quickly enough to trigger it without it actually hitting you.

1) Thank you. I'm sure Sarah is a great person IRL, but she was not the right choice to demonstrate the playstyle of a Thief. The narrator was saying "movement, dodging, getting in, unloading and getting out... that's what a Thief does" while Sarah stood there and took punch after punch to the face. Then of course, there was the Mighty Oakheart Backhand!

I'm sorry but Yoda the thief just doesn't work for me, although I bet thief will be a big roll for the Asuran.

Charr Thief looks nice, but nothing beats a Human...
