Based on the released professions and races, what combos will you make?

I guess I can officially say Human Mesmer now. Still not sure if I'll roll War or Guardian.

OK....my combinations....

Pretty sure I’ll be rolling the below two without much hesitation
1st -> Norn Ele
2nd -> Sylvari Necro

But I’m confused on the next two...

I wanted to make an Asura mesmer but then we're so used to seeing immaculate mesmers; and an Asuran physique can’t really make that grade ... sooo
3rd -> Human Mesmer or Norn Mesmer

Want to make a Chaar Guardian but then we would always see a tail sticking out of that shiny armor...not cool! ...sooo
4th -> Human Guardian

5th -> Chaar Engineer

Last three are big ifs, think the game would be too long for dedicatidly sustaining all professions...tried that in GW1 and it got too much at the end.
6th -> Asura Thief
7th -> Sylvari Ranger
8th -> Chaar Warrior

Hello!

These are my choices for now (Not final):

1. Charr Elementalist ( Ele was my main character in GW1, crazy black skin -red hair, so I'm thinking of going with ele as I did in GW1)
2. Asura Engineer (really like the animations of asura, and engineer is great profession that suits those little creatures)
3. Sylvari Necromancer (I love casters and magic so necro will be my top 3 played. He seems really well rounded in GW2 with all that survive ability. Sylvari because no other race seems to fit)
4. Norn Guardian (I like guardian and will go with Norn because I want to play all races and human is reserved for next profession. It also seems appropriate to have big and strong guardian that fears nothing.)
5. Human Thief ( Someone already said how human story line fits thief, and I agree. Thief seems really interesting-especially for WvWvW.)

Mesmer and ranger come next, I'll choose that when the game actually arrives (and if we get enough slots)

BTW. Why is everyone choosing so boring races for elementalist? Human and Sylvari.. I mean, ok, it suits elementalist, but I'll go for something odd and off the wall. Charr seems legit :D

I'm debating charr or norn, norn most likely. I try to find weird combos (that still make sense to me).

Charr's love of fire makes it a good pick lore-wise for eles.

Yes Charrs fire usage is what made me see connection with elementalist.

Problem is i really like WATER magic with ele ( I know I can use all 4 but..). I'm not sure because of that. Norn ele is not a bad idea too.
Especially if I can turn into an animal and become hard to kill for some time :D (Hyena I hope)

I'm more aiming on charr necro. Horned beast and her monstrous minion creations. Fun times.

Sylvari guardian or engineer, asura ranger (tiny thing, big beast)...

Current lineup (subject to change with racial skills)

Pretty sure:
Norn Elementalist - because there is no greater power than the elements
Charr Necromancer - beast & minions
Asura Ranger - big beasts, sneaky sniper
Sylvari Guardian - plant in frontline sounds fun

Plus either:
Human Engineer - gf *caugh*
Charr Mesmer - because nobody does clones like the charr

Or:

Human Mesmer - like a rat thief, but with more class and smarts
Sylvari Engineer - again, plant and firethrower, how can that go wrong? Tech and plant sounds fun.[/QUOTE]

Rejoice! Achievements are account-wise in GW2 if I remember correctly from a recent interview. Getting them all to max level is a different issue.
