Dervish, worth playing one? (already played all 9 other classes)

Moebius Strike / Death Blossom has been around for quite some time though. Hit & run in PvE is inefficient anyway.

Indeed, you might say that GW is just not made for an assassin. So they turned it into a warrior dervish thingy.

Well... I'd like to put it as such that assassins (as they are) are not really made for GW.

They would be much cooler (in PvE) if killing a single enemy would actually matter compared to simply c-spacing and spreading AoE as much as possible (which, as a total aside, dervishes are basically made to do).

This. The role for the assassin kinda makes sense in PvP, but not PvE. Like mesmers before the buff.

It's also ironic that assassins are famous in PvE as solo farmers, which is the most un-assassiny thing I can imagine.

Another thing I noticed: those Dervish girls are tiny. They are warrior/fighter women. Why are they shorter and smaller than Elementalists and Mesmer chicks?

I mean it makes sense with assassins since they value agility and secrecy over everything (the smaller you are, the easier to hide). And Asian people are generally smaller in size (no racism intended).

But with Dervishes this doesn't make much sense. It seems Elementalists and Mesmers have more muscle and would hit harder with a scythe. And middle eastern people are actually pretty big.

I wouldn't say mine is short.

Sorry for the late reply (due to vacation). I was referring to pious haste being possible to keep up 100% (with a pve only enchant to fuel it). Dash is the only other skill that can give you a +50% ims, and there's no way to keep it up 100% of the time, it's also an unlinked skill so anyone can use it, unlike pious haste. That is why the dervish is the best runner atm.

If you use pious haste you'll strip vow of silence, and then you can immediately reapply it. Do it fast enough and no spells can hit you. Dervish also has some good skills to keep physicals from hitting them, although sadly its anti-kd is pathetic.
