I knew I was wasting my time trying to explain the weaknesses to you. Btw, what a pro argument, explaining you know more than me because you are pro. Even better, you know some "pro runners" who use it, so obviously it's the best ims in the game... even though it's not much different than dash. My contributions towards running consist of me asking if anyone wants to know some good builds for running in the dervish forum (during the dervish rework) while mentioning pious haste and getting absolute silence in response.
You want a good dervish running build? I'll make a thread with one you can try out, but only if you're actually going to try it out.
Yeah, I never said it was bad, just that it wasn't the best ims in the game. I do disagree that it's only weakness is that it goes away if you use another skill. Another weakness is that it's an elite. Can't use it with vow of silence or shadow form, which you can do with many, many other ims'es. Now the previous form of pious haste, that was good as it wasn't elite, and you could use other skills (other than stances) without it disappearing. I do have to ask, how would you use charging strike for a droks run? Most of the ims'es I mentioned can be used to get you through droks, but it seems charging strike would make it impossible.Originally Posted by raspberry jam

Yes I am a pro as I charge for my running services everything but Droks.I do know pro Warriors who use it along with I ma unstoppable a skill I have yet to get.I have 4 Warrior running builds used for different purposes.
I already got my Derv. running builds as I still want I am unstoppable for it.I use mostly an all Derv build or D/A.I don't run missions is the only thing.
The runs today a far an in between and I see a lot charge more than the actual price.I guess you can seeing there is shortage of runners.
God grief, I charge for opening the gate in pre-searing, but that doesn't make me a "pro gatemonkey".
The wiki has plenty of suggestions for "Cold As Ice". What's the problem you've got there?
Yes, Dervs are worth playing imo.
The only way to find out if they are worth it for you is to hit level 20 and play the game :)

Random comments.
1) Isn't droks the hardest run? If so, then how can you be pro if you don't do that?
2) How is running build (or farming, might as well say that) relevant to normal gameplay?
3) Derv has plenty of good running skills & builds, if anyone still cares.

You can tell the quality of life of people by what they complain about
1) I don't know about the hardest, but if it isn't then it's close to it. People who run droks would laugh at Age for calling himself a pro without being able to run it.
2) It isn't, but I mentioned how good a derv can run with it's good ims'es and apparently that was translated into "hey, let's discuss running builds, and how a particular running skill is the best ims for running in the whole game (even though it's not, if it can't be used to run droks it isn't the best, case closed)".
3) Agreed, gwpvx wiki even has a build with the title of droks runner, why is that you ask? Because right now it is considered by the people who actually run droks to be the best way of doing so. Sure, you'll see other builds for it, but that one is what provides the best results.

Technically you can be pro at an easy run if you run it in record time.
That aside, Age doesn't have a high credibility score for claiming to be a pro, and the whole discussion of running is OT anyways.

Personally, if you enjoy playing the class then it's worth playing. I never thought I would enjoy playing a melee class, but I've put more hours on my dervish than all other character's I have, perhaps with the exception of my mesmer - my very first character.
Does she play better than any of the other classes? Does she have strengths? Weakness? Who the heck cares? I don't care a snap for what someone else thinks - I am the one getting enjoyment out of this game and this class.
If you are thinking about giving the Dervish a try - give it a try. Decide for yourself if you like that class or not - all the rest is truly unimportant.

Yes I do have the credibility of calling myself a pro runner as I do charge which makes pro and know the routes.I will let Krazax judge me on that and if anyone who has seen the Warrior running thread.I have ran several groups to places and have been paid for it.I have practiced these over and over again just not the Droks run as Krazax and I have hard time meeting up.
The GM in pre is different and no one is pro at that as you don't require skills for it.I will leave C A I for separate thread.
