They're used for making armors, i.e. the rubies you were talking about for Vabbian armor are a salvage item.

You don't NEED anymore salvage materials on this character, but it's good to save them. Not only if you want prettier armor, but also for future characters. As you noted, max armor is expensive.

I would strongly recommend doing secondary quests, if you are a new player. The quests will supply you with money, loot from the monsters you kill and experience, both as XP points and knowledge about the mechanics of the game.

Save up money and keep the crafting materials you acquire.

As a dervish you will need an armor set of 70 armor and a scythe that says "Damage: 9-41" or somewhere near that. You will also want some runes and insignias on your armor to make yourself stronger. (I.e. Survivor Insignias and a rune of Vigor, some runes of Vitae and so forth. There are some armor enhancing insignias, which can be very good too. A rune of Attunement (+2 energy) will not hurt either.)

When you've built up a bit too much money, you may wish to invest in an elite armor set but for now you shouldn't worry about that. Just get the basic set described in the above posts that keeps you going basically forever.

Dzagonur Bastion is the mission that marks the point where Nightfall becomes significantly harder than Prophecies or Factions. I don't know if you own the other chapters or just Nightfall and EotN - but it may be a good time to travel to Prophecies and Factions now instead of moving on through Nightfall.

Leave EotN for later. It's harder than Nightfall at this point.

I believe that's the "Reporting to the White Mantle" quest from either Sergio on the steps, or the guy standing close to him, Armen. One of those two.

There are no primary quests as you are Derv. and there are no skills available for you in Tyria. You will just have to go back to Elona to get your skills.

You might want to go in to services and see if there are any runners that run this mission although not recommended for newcomers.Go work on your armour and get a good weapon.

Yes, there are. Armen the Guide should give you the quest "Report to the White Mantle".

As for Grand Court of Sebelkeh, it is a Zaishen Mission today, which means there should be players who want to do the mission, most of the time even in NM since it isn't that easy.

There are always primary quests starting from the point you reach a new campaign.
