i don't know what race, i am more looking at what i would like to play when i can play the game.
the necro human is a personal reason but beside that, it's kinda undecided.
it's alive but cannot be living, it's dead but lives a mortal life.

I believe humans are able to "summon" hounds of Balthazar. I suspect that would work like the ranger's warhorn where it "summons" birds that just attack and do damage.
I can't imagine any race getting a summonable tank; that just doesn't seem to fit with what we've seen (enemy movement control and self movement being the primary forms of staying alive.) We'll see though!

Well, I imagine that racial summons might be possible, but would generally be slightly inferior to necro minions or engineer turrets... and not at all comparable to ranger pet.

I'm sticking with humans. I'm either uninterested in the other races (sylvari/norn) or I basically hate them (charr). That just leaves the asurans, and I'd rather just be human.

If you take a look at previous posts, you will see that this poll includes numbers from another thread,. That's why the percentage numbers look odd. You have to ignore them and just take a look at the total number of cast votes.Originally Posted by Smilko

It depends on racial skills. If no racial skill gives an obvious advantage, I'm going with human.

It really depends on racial summons, that's the main thing that can break the tie between charr and norn (norn is winning atm because charr ele is too stereotype).

Why do you keep going on about racial skills being summons? The 17 we know about already only have one mention of summoning anything, and I suspect it will be a straight damage skill. Do you have any quote saying that racial skills will be summons?

We honestly know close to nothing about racial skills. I know of humans getting an elite that summons two hellhounds or something, and it'd be weird if asura didn't summon some golems.
I doubt that eles get summons, and I would really really like my mesmer to have summons. If I don't get summons from those two races, I might end up making a mesmer instead, cuz mesmers have summons yeah baby!
