I don't even know how to go about putting any of it together, I guess. I don't typically write page-long entries for things.. well aside from a post I made when they mistakenly gave me mod forum access. I guess some of you didn't hear that story, but some mods thought I was specifically asking to be a mod a bit ago, because I said something to the effect of "I wish I was a mod" once in reply to Age, who was saying I wouldn't have what it takes to be one. This was back in the big mod clamour/rearranging the forum timeframe back in September or October.. Anyway. I was somewhat jokingly insinuating that I wanted to prove Age wrong.

Ah... Bullet points plan: just throw whatever points you wanna make in your blog post on notepad, in any degree of order. If you've got complete sentences, throw them there as well. Now, take stock, rearrange the ideas and sentences in an order that should make it easy to flow from one to the other. Write your text (in no particular order), then re-read and readjust transitions and such to have a coherent post.
Voilà! You've got a blog post! (Says she who has never written one, though she has written texts aplenty for college and university assignments.)

I'm not a planner when it comes to writing. I just write. If I need to reword and rearrange, I do it on the fly or when I'm editing. Outlines never worked for me (too much structure #rebel).

I hope you make use of paragraphs.

Structure only helps if you already know what you want to write really. Yay college essays! How I hated essays in college.

You should just start writing. I took a creative writing class once and the teacher would sometimes start the class with 5-10 minutes of journal-writing, just to get us writing. She said it didn't matter what we said, but we had to keep writing the whole time. Took a songwriting class and the teacher said he sets aside a certain amount of time every week, at a certain time, to write. It doesn't
have to be music, but he has to write during that time, even if it all turns out to be garbage.
Writing is rough. A lot of it is about doing it, not letting yourself get defeated by writer's block.

Yeah, one of our teachers gave an "automatic writing" thing once. You just had to write. If you didn't know what to write, you'd write "block block" as many times as necessary until you wrote something. It looked very much like you had written any and all thoughts running through your mind (including "this automatic writing thing is a bunch of malarkey") but you got a few nuggets worth exploring that way.

There's so many ways to get started and produce something useful, but you need to find the way(s) what work for you.
I keep a place to write notes, so that when I do get creative juices, I can write notes of things I think of that I need to do later. Mainly, that's writing all the stuff I need to implement in my game, or all the points I need to discuss in my article. I do what while I am working on something, so that I do not have to stop what I am doing and get distracted.
When I get a slow time or don't know what to work on, I look at the notepad (or whatever).
