Guys.
Before my friend and I left our last job (on the same day), we found out our jerk face boss was having all our E-mails forwarded to him, so we signed up for every newsletter we could think of to flood his inbox. We figured he would get annoyed and unsubscribe from them after a week. We found out last night that he still has to go through them every single day, because he gets like 30 a day, to make sure there are no client E-mails mixed up with all of them. It's been like nine months.
Also, this is the 5,500th post.
Nice one RD! I think there are auto-responder clubs which you can sign an email up to, changes content and server of origin to maximise spam.
That's why I only use Honeypots now for almost everything.

We didn't want it to be obvious that we were flooding him intentionally, so we signed up for industry articles and stuff haha Though now that you're mentioning these things, I wonder if I could find one that doesn't require confirmation of sign up and I could just drop his e-mail in there... hahaha He was such a jerk.
Speaking of jerks...Mod Sam's not the brightest spark is he?!?.
Ok, he's not a jerk, he's just not qualified to deal with GW2 stuff until his job title officially changes.
I would still hazard a go at him lacking the critical thinking skills to read what the post was about and answer as a representative of ArenaNet.
Still, it does seem highly indicative of the whole company this last week. I should cut them some lack for being under massive amounts of pressure and screwing over players with little to no information because NCSoft pulled a Korry (That's my new endearing term for Koreans pulling a power play for greed right at the end and without prior consent).

Yeah, I don't think they've done the best job with this pre-purchase business... Some of the FAQ questions make me laugh:
As usual, they wanted to innovate and do things differently than other games, but I think the pre-purchase caused a lot of confusion, a lot of which is on the fault of consumers for just being dumb or not paying attention (how many times did they say pre-orders are different from pre-purchase). I can see your frustration on this region-restriction thing that popped up only recently. Probably should have been announced further in advance of pre-purchase.How does the Summon Mistfire Wolf elite skill work?
When used, the elite skill will summon a Mistfire Wolf to temporarily fight alongside you and your allies.
Maybe try asking on Twitter, since they're being super responsive there today. They also posted this as a way to contact GW 2 Support:

Thanks RD, I've had my question sitting on their support ticket system since just after I noticed the region locked and can't buy problem. 8 hours it's been there - which normally isn't bad, but since they've made this a big race with no info...bad today.
As for shouting out amongst all the hoohah (RT Thanks to my wife who got up at 3 in the morning and bought me the CE and herself the DD. Looking forward to finishing my shift #guildwars2) I don't think so!
They want to open forums where people can get first hand information? Today would be a goram good day to give that a bash. Twitter isn't customer service and a true representation of FAQs would have plenty of griefing going on.
Any word yet on when they are pulling the ability to prepurchase?

I don't like Twitter is meant to be a standalone CS tool, but I think it's great that companies DO use it that way. Especially when they respond to random customers' tweets.
No word on when pre-purchase ends.
I'm currently amongst a throng of players harassing Martin via 'tweats'. He's only just shown up but you can tell from his change from chirpy dapper chappy to antagonised rabbit in some headlights, he's not working his transactional analysis tools properly. It must be hellish at his end, he's normally quite cool and wooing.
Well at least I know I'm not alone - it makes me feel a little better. Here's to hoping I can get a pre-purchse sorted and that I don't have to get up at 4AM again to try and make sure of it.
Off to buy some much needed cigarettes! Thanks for the company RD - was going bonkers there!
