For a Guild Wars game account hacked after October 1, 2011, we have new tools that will be able to restore a player's account to its pre-hacked status under certain conditions. It's good that your track down the taken items removing the case for duplication as that would appear to be the most obvious trick for unscrupulous people to attempt with old/unused accounts.

I wonder how long it will be before the QQ threads start with "I bought a R7 Crystalline 15>15 and it got removed from the game!!" type content in the title?

Great work all round and here's hoping that those who exploit the game are removed completely.

This means that while the account may not be restored to its status at the exact hour preceding the hack, it can be restored to within a few hours or days of such an event.

Nice. Sounds like the technology is getting sophisticated enough to really pound on bots, scammers, etc.
