We have received questions from the community whether we will be hosting a Wintersday Art Contest as in years past. Unfortunately, the studio and the community team have a number of big projects already underway in preparation for next year so regretfully we are unable to host the contest this year.
As many of you know, some artistic fans begin their work very early and organize the Guild Wars Guru Wintersday Workshop. This year, to encourage everyone to participate, we'll donate cool prizes and Everlasting Reindeer Tonics to the Wintersday Workshop. So if you feel creative or want to try your chance at this fun community activity, head over to the Guild Wars Guru Wintersday Workshop.

I'm going to assume "big projects" means "inviting RD to GW2 beta."
Whoa, I didn't know Anet knew this forum existed anymore. Neat!
Be nice guys! They do visit here regularly and just because they don't spam as many posts as you all do (I'm not sure that is even possible!) doesn't mean they (Regina, Marten and Stephane) don't like us.
So, thank you Stephane for the heads up...I, as well as these jokers, hope that you all have a great Christmas season and that you bring us lots of nice juicy news about Guild Wars!

If you can't have fun, what's the point?

My post wasn't sarcasm. I thought Anet had left these forums and am glad to see a post from them.

I'm never sarcastic.
I also think every active member of this forum needs a plush Charr for whatever holiday or non holiday denomination they may or may not have this winterthingamagee.
