MVOP - 'War in Kryta' progress thread

Here is a list of quest objectives for the War in Kryta. It only includes those we've gotten to in the Thursday night group, so there are a few objectives missing at the end of the list. (Would not want to have any spoilers, right? ) The objectives we have already completed are marked with a √.

As of today, we are up to the quest 'A Little Help From Above'. I don't know if we'll be doing that this week (it is possible Wintersday will have started), but if anyone wants to catch up and join us, just let us know here or in game if you need any help.

It can be tricky to assist someone who has not gone through the quests yet, so be aware that if you are grouped with someone farther along in the chain, it can affect your ability to complete the objective.

√ Find the Shining Blade Camp in Talmark Wilderness.

√ Enlist the aid of the Asura. (Asuran Allies)

• Complete the "Zinn's Task" or "The Knowledgeable Asura" quest √
• Speak with the Asura Chark in the Tarnished Coast. √
• Witness the events of Zinn's "trial." √
• Report to Salma in Talmark Wilderness on the outcome of the Asuran Trial. √
• Speak with the Lion's Arch Keep gate guard to gain access to Lion's Arch Keep where Salma will have your congratulatory message. √

√ Enlist the aid of the Ebon Vanguard. (Ebon Vanguard Allies)

• Complete the quest "A Good Deed." √
• Speak with Gwen in the Hall of Monuments. √
• Assist Keiran with his ill fated plan to win Gwen's affection. √
• Return to the Hall of Monuments. √
• Witness the pact between the Shining Blade and the Ebon Vanguard in the Ice Cliff Chasms. √
• Finish enlisting the aid of the Asura. (Asuran Allies) √
• See Princess Salma for your reward. √

√ Defeat the Inquisitors of the White Mantle: Lashona, Bauer, and Lovisa.

• Wanted: Inquisitor Lashona √
• Wanted: Inquisitor Bauer √
• Wanted: Inquisitor Lovisa √

√ Defeat the three Mursaat to give hope to the people: Willem the Demeaning, Aily the Innocent, and Koril the Malignant.

Aye. There's been more than a little bit of wibbly-wobbly, timey-whimey shenanigans that have occurred during the course of the War in Kryta. Now, I'm not pointing fingers at anything or one (the DeLorean and TARDIS definitely ain't my fault, neither was losing batteries for certain tools), but as Tanek mentioned, this is an odd... odd duck to deal with when you are outside of the timeline.

At least anyone further along in the chain can come and participate in the group now as long as they don't lead. (At least, that is the way it was when I did the end of the chain!)

I might start showing up on Thursday evenings again.

Sorry I've not been joining in lately guys, I've been caught up with Uni work over the last couple of weeks.

I'm off for a month over the Crimbo holidays now, so I'll be available for plenty of group meet-ups. Any plans for Wintersday? Guild snowball fights, perhaps?

The first post has been updated. We completed 'A Little Help From Above' and will be doing 'Temple of the Intolerable' next week.

'Temple of the Intolerable' and 'Mustering a Response' have been completed, despite Blimm's best efforts to sabotage us by playing patty-cake with Jade Cloaks. Next Wednesday we are wrapping up the War in Kryta missions with 'The Battle for Lion's Arch'. Wish us luck. We'll probably need it. :)

Sorry there is no new post up for tonight. The site seems to have decided I am not able to start one, so:

Just a quick reminder for anyone joining us on the Battle for Lion's Arch mission tonight. We will be meeting in Lion's Arch, Japanese District 1 at 9pm Eastern.

This will be the last mission for the War in Kryta and then we will be moving on to Hearts of the North. I am not sure yet how that will go with group/solo missions, so I will be discussing the options with some players who have been through it already.

As always, if you are not far enough along to join us tonight but want some help catching up, let us know here or in-game and we'll see what can be arranged.

Thank you to all who joined in for the War in Kryta missions. It took a time or two to get the hang of the final battle, but we won and there was much rejoicing. Followed by a long speech from Salma and some talk of a certain Ebon Vanguard member who has gone missing.

That brings us to Hearts of the North (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Hearts_of_the_North), but since most of the missions there are solo, the next group story missions we tackle will probably be Winds of Change. I believe WoC can be done even if you have not done WiK, so the only requirement is to have finished the Factions campaign mission, Imperial Sanctum.
