You can post links, you just have to know the BBCode if you want to customize the text. I think MV was referring to the button used to make something a link easily.

This site is now completely unusable on a (7") tablet. And no, I don't want to use that tapatalk thing. I find that even worse...
Please, add an extra style which removes that gradient thing from all locations...
Edit: about the read status... This works at home. But not on my laptop! It simply refuses to make a thread read after I visit the last post... Anybody got an idea?

You can always add the code in yourself... google.com
All things work, you simply need to know the code!

When looking at the "Last Post" column in the forum index, some last posters are a link to the user profile, and some are not. I am guessing this is some kind of setting, but for the life of me I cannot understand it. It is not who is online. It is not pals, nor friends. Not a major thing for sure (not like I frequently go to people's user pages through the last post listing) but still, it is weird.
It looks weird and fugly. But nothing as bad that I couldn't get used to after a while.
And the only problems I noticed so far are already covered by the previous posters.
I can't see Nemeon's avatar either. And it keeps logging me out too - even though I have the "remember me" checkbox ticked. As for typing formatting tags, it would not be quicker for me as I would have to look them up - I used the buttons for a good reason - technology provided a shortcut, as it should.
That there is a big problem for useability. People should not need to learn codes when there were buttons that did it before. Putting the buttons back would be a very good idea.
Seeing as I started posting, let me get a few things off my chest:
Not being able to see avatars is not so much of a problem, but I actually hate logging in anywhere as I then have to remember which password I used, and I prefer that my browser does that for me.
Also, it asked me to change my password the other day, saying mine was 180 days old (so what? That doesn't mean that I should have to change it. I like my password. I really don't want to have to have yet another different one.) So when I went to change it, I put the old password in, then used the same password as the new one. It didn't like that, and said that I couldn't use any password I had used in 360 days. (Wait, what? 360 days? Why?) So I set it to something different, then went throught the process to reset it again, and put it back to what it was before. It let me then, seeming to have forgotten about the whole 360 days thing, yay. I only use that password with this site, I don't want to change it, and I shouldn't have to effectively change it twice only to keep it as it was.
Oh, and lack of advanced editing features in quick reply is one thing, but when I go advanced, the only advanced options are to post an icon for my post? Bring back the buttons for us that prefer to click things and to not have to type everything - if I wanted to type everything I would be using Linux, but I'm a PC user, my mouse is part of my control interface, and I would like to be able to use it to click on things, thankyou.
Funnily enough, one of my clan admins did something similar with our clan site recently - changed it without asking members what they thought first, was convinced it was well good, that it was so much better than it had been. Almost none of our clan was happy, we prefered the old site, and after a short period of time, it was modified back to having the same look, feel, and functionality it had before our admin decided to "upgrade". Moral of the story is that if you are going to change things, either ask the users first, or make sure that it has everything that it had before and is working correctly before someone posts an announcement that sounds like they are putting their elbow out of joint patting themselves on the back, as perhaps not everyone will agree that it is "superior" when they can't do things that they used to do.
Note: it's not like I cannot learn to type code or passwords, but it is slower, less useable, frustrating, and offputting - it takes seven extra keystrokes that I have to look up to be able to underline something, averaging a few extra seconds per use of the code plus the time it takes to look it up, rather than just clicking a visible, easily useable button. That is not better at all. And it gets even worse if you want more than one formatting option on something (something in italics underlined, or something bold underlined, or something in bold italics) as you then have to work out the order to put the codes in, mainly by trial and error.
TL;DR : This site does not work as well as it used to at all. A rollback would be appreciated, but if not, just making it work like it used to would be good. The way the site has been behaving since it's supposed "upgrade", that is really a downgrade in useability and user-friendliness, has been really annoying me.

Guys. It's been three days, two of which were the weekend. It'll get fixed.
