Yeah android only.
New features:
The new UI.
You can like/thank posts (which isn't even enabled here anyway, which is lame).
Better image viewing support.
Account syncing across devices.
The ability to upload images while making posts.
A better notification system for PMs subscribed threads.
Some other minor stuff I can't remember right now.
I think once they're done catering to the android master race they're going to work on the iOS version, but it'll probably be a while yet. And then they'll have to go through the app store review process (lol).

They implemented PostCountBot (tm) in the new version.
Sorry, I could not resist.

I do really wish we could like posts. Though Alaris would likely abstain because it would take away potential additions to his post count!
I wonder if they'll even bother with an iOS version. I understand programming for the iOS and Droid are WAY different. And since the iOS review process is such a pain, it might not even be worth their effort.
As long as they put some blatant copyright infringement in there it'll go through just fine. Judging just by how many reviews the app got, it's probably worth it to them to try to take my money again...although I still haven't bothered trying the "HD" version...

Oh it's just an update? I thought it was a whole new app. Yeah it'll probably be free then.
Although I would have to pay again if I want the iPad specific version, but frankly I don't see the point.

Well, it's supposed to be an update, yeah. Maybe they'll release it separately on the app store, who knows.
But either way, that's lame about the 'tablet specific' version. I thought apps worked the same way they do with ours, just auto-detect the screen size and adjust accordingly.
I don't have a real tablet to test that theory though, but that's what happens when I increase the dpi of my nexus, at least.

Screen size also usually means more pixels, which in turn means you can cram more info and UI elements. So it's entirely possible that the tablet version is more than the phone version. Well, at least that is the case with the default calendar app.

Yes, that's what I meant. Android apps switch between tablet layouts/features and phone layouts depending on screen size/density. Even the phone's launcher UI switches to the Honeycomb-ish version if I crank up the density.
The iPhone version auto adjusts to size correctly on the iPad...from what I can tell, the tablet specific version just lays menus out differently and might just display forums as a separate web page...which kinda defeats the purpose of the app. Unless I'm just looking at it wrong, the iPhone version just seems like the better option of the two.
