I have a simple question but long and lenghty.I want to buy guild wars but im unforcertain which one to buy.Should i buy the trilogy or the indiviaul ones.I was on the main site and if was confusing.3 seperate games plus you had to buy the pvp plus some other one.Im just asking if I buy the trilogy will everything be included,i wont have to buy anything else and the last part to the question is will i be able to pla y GWII when it comes out and not lose rank or is it a seperate game all together.Former WoW player btw.Ty for any help.Custormer service has no numbers to call and it Xmas weekend so no response from emails.Thank folks
If you buy the trilogy, you get:
Prophecies (Original), Factions and Nightfall.
You'll also have access to PVP.
GW2 is a whole new game.
If you have bought the GW1 expansion Eye of the North, you can transfer over your Hall of Monuments achievements.
More about that here: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide...uments_rewards

Just to clarify on this a little further, as it seems like Bonesmasher may have come across the PvP Access Kit as well:
As Karuro has already said, if you get the trilogy, you'll get the three standalone campaigns (plus access to PvP) but you'll still need to buy the Eye of the North expansion separately in order to access the aforementioned Hall of Monuments, or find a fresh copy (not pre-owned) of the Complete Collection, which will include the expansion.
The PvP Access Kit allows you to create an account for the sole purpose of playing PvP, without the need to buy a single campaign, yet it can also be added to an existing account, if you're missing a campaign or two, to unlock PvP-only access to skills from those campaigns. For example, if a player is missing Factions from their account, and wants to use the skills from that campaign for PvP without buying it, the Kit will unlock access to them for them.
However, if you buy the Trilogy, the PvP Access Kit will be an unnecessary purchase, since you would already have what the Kit offers through the Trilogy itself.
If any of that still confuses you, don't be afraid to ask.![]()
There's no shame in asking questions. Ask away at the Newcomer and Questions Forum for GW2. GW1 archive here.
Here comes your warrior, he's letting you know... that you can discuss the profession here.
