Rift ad is lag-inducing

That "Rift" advertisement on the top is lagging the site to hack for me. Holy lag!

Lag as on your internet takes a long time to load it, or it's making your comp slow when you scroll/browse the forum?

Split out from the "found anything weird" thread since this issue does not really have to do with the forum/site update.

That said, I do not know about lag, but in general I dislike ads that "reload" something intrusive every time you open a page. Works great for sites, but not as much for forums when you reload the page every time you open a new thread. And afaik, the forum ads are not supposed to do that, so should be a mistake.

Current one (I think it's RIFT but not sure) lags the website and sometimes moves the page for no reason (downwards mostly).

Yes, it is the top banner that "opens and closes again" each time you load the page, which pushes the forum content down then up again. Almost getting see-sick.

I'm getting the "lag" too. As weird as it sounds I'm getting around 1FPS on my browser. I can't scroll or view new threads in a timely manner.

This is being fixed. I was up at 5AM screaming at the agency in the US on the phone. I would expect it to be sorted in the next hour or so, so apologies for this :(
