If not, you might enjoy Aion until gw2 comes out.

I played it on release, and.. well. It's an mmo. It was horribly grindy at first, but I think every damn patch they've been increasing quest experience, along with double/triple exp weekends. Uhh..you can fly, too. So there's that. I also liked the skill system - they're similar to the first skill on some gw2 weapons, except with more variety. Some melee skills may chain a ranged spell, that sort of thing. And you can fly eventually. Did I mention that? Yeah. Angelic wings and ****. I'll probably play it again, kill some time during the last few months till D3/gw2.
ugh. Such a huge waste of money, it was expensive as hell :(
I played it for 1 month, then my old computer died and I never bothered to re-activate my account.
But I'll probably install it again anyway, if I get really bored.
Yeah I paid 80 bucks for the collectors edition to find out at launch that they didn't deliver on their promises of not being a "korean grinder". I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that it's better now. And if not, well, it'll be the best free mmo available at least. Definitely better than perfect world.

I'd try the beta for Tera before I gave Aion a shot. Not that I would pay for either of them but, I wouldn't mind seeing how Tera plays. It's supposed to be somewhat not crappy (combat wise) outside of the animation lock problem.
Eh, the only stupid thing about the pvp was that you'd be there at level 5, just killin' some rats, as you do. Then a rift to the opposing faction would open up and a bunch of goddamn level 30s would pour out and instantly massacre everyone. If they're going to pull stupid **** like that, they should at least be enemies of similar level, so you can a) stand a chance, b) ignore them, c) run away.
The concept was definitely neat though. And after level 25, the huge perma-flight pvp place.. Oh man. Amazing.
I have a key for that, but when I tried to download the client it wouldn't let me, or it was downloading at dialup speeds. I eventually gave up.

Yes, that's what I meant. That you are fair game in that place in the sky, I'd have been fine with that. But if I want to wind down I might just wander around, glide off a few cliffs and simply be alone. If I could have an option to turn myself "invincible" (or something like that) it would have been great.
Yes...
I think I'll start my client tomorrow again since a long, long time... (Europe will go free on the 28th).

How big is the download gonna be?
I really liked the character creation and was hoping to try it out.
Seen some super silly looking characters, and awhile back I was looking for a character creator program from it.
Something similar to the Creation Station that SR3 did.
