So, if I'm reading this correctly, we have to pay to reset traits. I'm not liking that at all. I STRONGLY prefer free respecs, and do not care at all about this "sense of permanence" the folks at Anet seem to think is important.
Other than that I like what I'm reading I guess. The trait system seems to add a bit of that complexity that I enjoy in RPG systems. Well, I enjoy it when I'm free to experiment with it as much as I want. Not quite as enjoyable if I have to constantly pay to keep experimenting.

Kinda torn on this. While I like the ability to freely experiment I don't like the idea to be able freely change anytime. There needs to be a balance. Hopefully this is what they have achieved.
Ew, I can't read this article because it says "formulas" instead of "formulae."
The main attributes are freaking weird, only affecting one kind of skill each.
Wow, there are a ton of attributes and traits.... This is confusing without having my hands on it *cough*

Uhoh, here we go again, a few copper to change skills because it would obviously be way too broken to let people swap in the middle of a persistent world.
Brace yourselves.
The backlash is coming.

I don't mind if I need to go to town to change it. Just let me experiment.
I'm sure the cost will be small(er) than other games, but let's face it... experimenting is the cornerstone of what makes builds fun.

I doubt you'll even have to go back to town. People were saying 'go to town' for armor repair too, which isn't the case. People who played were saying repair guys are all over the damn place. I'm sure there will be trait-guys about and around outside of Divinity's Reach as well, because the main thing this is meant to prevent is swapping in the middle of combat once we leave an outpost.
And hey, you know what?
We couldn't swap once we left town in gw1 either.
Paying to retrait and repair!? RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE
/sarcasm
