Question Please reply: A few questions for MVOP (open to anyone, though)

    Hello, all.

I have talked to some of you to find out what you'd like to see MVOP do and there have been lots of great ideas. Some of you have already volunteered to run groups during the week, some have said there is interest in joining up with groups for other activities. We decided that the forum would be a good place to open up the discussion to everyone.

Please take a look at the questions below and reply to this thread with your answers. If, for any reason, you don't want to provide your specific time zone but would still like to join for an MVOP group, please provide the times during the week you are available to play.

Once we have group set for a day and time, it will be listed on this site's calendar. (Found here: http://guildwars.incgamers.com/forums/calendar.php) All times on the calendar will be listed in Eastern by default unless the leader has asked for something specific such as GMT. In that case, it will be clearly marked.

    Questions:

What kinds of activities would you like to see us organize as a group?
    • Vanquishes (we have one group run by Klojamir Tuesdays at 6pm Eastern)
    • Dungeon runs (especially EotN dungeons for the book)
    • Elite skill capture
    • Underworld
    • Fissure of Woe
    • Normal mode missions (currently running Winds of Change missions Wednesday night at 9pm Eastern)
    • Hard mode missions
    • Nicholas the Traveler item farms (currently Sundays around 1pm Eastern)
    • Other (please provide a brief description)

Which timezone are you in and what times do you generally play?

Do you already run a group you'd like others to know about? If so, please provide a description and when your group meets. Maybe we can get it on the calendar.

This is by no means saying that everyone has to participate in any activities we organize. If you are happy playing along your own way, that is great. I just want to make sure we are providing what people in the guild need if we can. This will help us all get a better idea where we can assist other members (or where they can assist us).

    Thank you. :)

I'm interested in any group event really, as the game is quite stale soloing for titles, but I just need 2 more to hit 40 HoM points :D

In central us time, usually play evenings between 5pm and 8pm, except wed and thurs, could be on anytime those 2.

Well we still xm every sunday at around 21.00 GMT+1 and frequently at mondays aswell, same time. If the interest is there i dont mind splitting the veterans between two teams to race each other i think that would be awesome. We are currently very focussed on uw, the 4 horsemen quest in particular, doing thatone xm is probably the hardest ive tried yet, if not for lucy boos idea we would probably have given up weeks ago but it was a crazy idea, crazy enough to work even though it needs perfect teamwork and timing, and a 1-1-1-1 split!

But yea, havent really seen much xm enthusiasm, people are usually all "ooh thats waay too hard for me ill just mess up". But the point of xm isnt to be flawless from the start and with some help from vets its something that anyone can do. We are all happy to help and even though the bar is set high, screwing up is not something to be frowned upon.

We have failed 4 horsemen many times allready because of mess ups or bad luck, bad strategies or ai updates. But because everyone does their best, brings new ideas to the table, and works hard, we are now closer than ever.

Im also open to ideas for builds and tactics for xm doa, as that is pretty much our goal after kicking dhuums ***. But for new xmites its probably best to start out softly with something like urgoz or the deep or topk or fow.

    But yea, in short:

XM is not for people who expects to win every time
XM is not for people who dont wanna do their best
XM is not for people who are afraid of a challenge
XM is not a byob thing

XM is for crazy, hardworking, funny, smart people, who likes to experiment, to work together as a team, beating extreme odds and being allround awesome. Its about being the best you can be and seing how smooth things go once teamwork is in place and foes drop like flies at record pace.

If people were up for it i wouldnt be against hosting some xm competitions with big ecto prizes, i dont really need envoy weapon that much.

    Hey All!
I will organize a group for HM Missions on Thursday night at 9:00 PM Eastern for those interested. Anyone is welcome to join and I would love to see us run 2 groups if needed.

    I have a question:
    1) What campaign does everyone want to start off in?

What kinds of activities would you like to see us organize as a group?
Most any that will help complete titles for HoM's

Which timezone are you in and what times do you generally play?
Eastern & usually in the evenings from 8:00 PM til 11:00 PM

@SassySusan I'm up for some HM missions. Thursdays at 9pm sounds pretty good. I'll throw my hat in for some Prophesies missions, but I'm good for anything you want to do.

I'm down...already Legendary Guardian, but could go for some skill caps...so anything works for me.

A while ago I was looking to start a group for regular Zaishen Elite meets. I think this'd be good for anyone looking to make a few extra Z-coins, or for Z-keys to advance their progress for the PvP statue in the HoM. If anyone's interested, I'd be happy to schedule a couple of meet-ups a week (maybe more if we want to really build up that Balthazar faction).

There's a specific team build that's particularly effective for these missions, so if anyone has a PvP/PvE Ranger or Elementalist with these skills, that'd be best. It's all against NPC enemies, too, so anyone not into PvP need not worry about fighting other players.

I'm in GMT, but I'm good for late nights at weekends to accommodate the US time zones.

I have 7 alts that need to do a lot. They would always be willing to join a group if they can get to the area being done. Vanquishes, Dungeons, primary quests, or normal/hard mode missions would be what they would be most interested in.

For my main character doing the Underworld in full, Fissure of Woe to get Obsidian Armor, or Winds of Change part 2 or 3 would be nice.

I am retired and in ET time zone. I usually do the Zaisens near noon and can play till about midnight daily.

I play with Aoi's xm group on Sunday evenings, but I'm also interested in the following ...

    Dungeons (for LMotN title)
FoW, UW, and other end-game areas
WoC (which I haven't started yet)

might even be tempted to do a little PvP to boost faction

Friday evening/weeekends GMT are best for me.
